One can understand that they people will do anything to earn a few bucks to live from. No problem with that as they are trying. However when problems arise with ground movement etc., then suddenly they need be helped. This is wonderful to see. I served at 14 Field Regiment for Basic Training, and then moved on to the Equestrian Centre just outside Potch from 1978-1979, the very first two year intake. I have often thought of Potchefstroom, after all it changed my life very quickly. I now live in the UK, and would love to visit Potch again some day. I hope you win Die Dorp Van Die Jaar. Good Luck!
