I use these on all my performance cars for sub 40F weather... put them on just before thanksgiving and put summer tires back on at easter. easy to remember that way. Summer tires are flat out stupid bad in sub 40F weather, as in, no grip. The 4s AW tires are OUTSTANDING in the cold. and not bad in the warm. they are noisy though, but who cares on a sports car!

I have these on my v6 accord. I could do ps4s and get a lot more communication and fun, but in the winter in New York I'd rather lose a little bit of fun and get the knowledge that a little snow won't turn my car into s death trap. Now if i was somewhere warm all year round... Ps4s all day.

If the question is can you "daily a manual performance car?" I am here to say Yes! I have had a manual daily driver for 40 years. I started driving in 1984 and have always had a manual including among others a Mustang GT (a couple of them), Supra Turbo, 300ZX Twin Turbo, BMW e46, BMW E39, a BMW E60 and a Porsche 997.2 C4S. Of course, I got married in the early 90s and always had access to a 2nd often bigger car (or later SUV) if needed, but on my daily commute to work it was just me and my 5-speed/6-speed every day for 40 years (well until Covid, now I work from home).

It does add a little bit of NVH since larger bumps translate more to the wheel. But overall it’s a well worth mod since I appreciate feeling more of the road and texture through my hands. Makes you feel more connected to the road.

@ferozmoto6766 honestly... Its hard to believe for most First it was wheels and suspension and diff, I'm in England so there's this specialist called birds who made custom valved dampers and custom spring rate springs+ anti roll bars for the e82 chassis, with the new diff and quaife this cost about £7k all in + 1k for wheels Then I went to somewhere which did full bolt on (stage 2) power aswell as quad exhaust and rear subframe and diff bushings, few other things and somehow that came out to 8k. Then I had a cosmetic only accident and decided instead of repair it in 135i body panels I'd go the 1M conversion route, custom body colour, full m3 arms camber plates, 6pc adjustable rear arms, every bushing on car replaced, four chassis braces, oil cooler and upg radiator, baffled pan, two piece brake rotors and upgraded vented aluminum pistons, spacers for the increased track etc more I'm forgetting I'm sure, total bill ended up at fucking 30k!! I look at it now and wonder wtf. Still got the headlights and seats to pay for 🤮

@@ferozmoto6766 yeah it is a one of a kind car I suppose, it has a dct and n55 so it's a car bmw never made and it's a lot more reliable than the n54 and much more fuel efficient and better sounding. Also a colour they never released in. Drives rings around a standard one too of course but i think if I ever want to sell it I would struggle to make 2/3rds the value I spent in selling it. I'd probably have to do one of those raffles that seem so popular atm. It was designed to be the perfect all rounder daily that can compete with a porsche on the B roads but also stand out at a car show rather than a track car so it's suspension is road biased and I run 17x9 Inch flowformed wheels on 245/40/17 square tyres with expensive spacers for the increased track but obviously have space for whatever really

Another tip is to remove the plastic break cooling duct covers inside the wheel arch. Most people have no idea they can do that. Super important for brake cooling. If you drive where it rains a lot you probably want to put them back on. I don’t drive my car in the rain so I leave them off all the time. Makes a huge difference to the brake cooling less change of boiling your brake fluid early too.
