LOVEBITES - Judgement Day lyrics: Never lived Never died Never end No way to go Every night Everywhere Everything Arriving of darkness What is “right” What is “wrong” What is “sin” Who’s to decide? Hide and seek Truth or dare Playing tag Chased by the evil Another back and forth of gaining and losing Running out of my time Each tick of the clock’s taking down piece of my life again Who’s ally Who’s against Who’s to pick All in your hand Up and down, in and out, left or right, answers turn around What do you see in this world full of insanity? When the rain come to end, what’s waiting us Don’t look away This is the truth RISE! THIS IS JUDGEMENT DAY! Life - Given the “foreverness” RISE! THIS IS JUDGEMENT DAY! Life - Leaving name in history Tragedy in the past find salvation Now with the great will, the path lay in front of me Starting here, this is the day! SOLO: midori / miyako /midori /miyako / both Never lived Never died Never end No way to go Every night Everywhere Everything Arriving of darkness What do you see in this world full of insanity? When do we come to ask what's awaiting us, don't look away! This is the truth! RISE! THIS IS JUDGEMENT DAY! Life - Given the “foreverness” RISE! THIS IS JUDGEMENT DAY! M&M destroy… I’ve played guitar for 45 years and these two ladies are absolutely top tier. Miyako has so improved since 2020, and I’d say she can shred as an equal with Midori today. In the past technically Midori had an edge and Miyako was the player with feel - the Golden Touch. She still has that but her technical skills have amped up to match Midori. Wild times. And yeah Haruna - powerhouse. Fami - what a rockstar. Asami…. Stunning vocals and the rest. Lucky to be alive with this band in our lives.

Great reaction ! Just keep in mind that these phenomenal ladies don't just play power metal, their music is a seamless and innovative blend of speed-power/thrash/prog/neoclassical metal/heavy rock/power ballads which make their sound unique. "Judgement Day" is a good example of speed-power blended seamlessly with symphonic elements. Personally, especially when it comes to LIVE performances, Lovebites is incomparable and has no peer.

"speed-power/thrash/prog/neoclassical metal/heavy rock/power ballads"?? LOL! That's great, and you mentioned an aspect that get ignored sometimes: the symphonic elements in the compositions. I THINK this is Miyako's influence, and I think you're right about her being a genius. I saw one veteran rock guy doing a reaction and he referred to a special trait that some-but-not-all heavy guitarists have, where they can play loud and fast...and still convey emotional or melodic content. He called it the "Page gene" or something, because Jimmy Page was a great exemplar of it. Miyako has it, while so many blazing fast, highly-technical guitarists kinda don't.

I love your reactions to Lovebites because, basically, you know what you’re talking about. Now to spoil your day. I was in the audience for that gig, and I arrived in Tokyo yesterday for the Sapporo, Osaka and Yokohama gigs of the Judgement Day tour. Why? Not because I’m wealthy that’s for sure, but because, like you, I recognise the best when I hear it and I’ll try and hear it live as many times as I am able, both physically and financially. Best band ever. No discussion.

Alek, I'm not sure why no one has done it yet. It seems like there's some form of unspoken trade secret. If you could post a setlist after one of your aforementioned shows, that would be greatly appreciated !
@alekhidell
@alekhidell 9 ай бұрын
@@boyzyunot sure what happened, I replied two hours ago, but can’t find it. So, the reason there is no setlist available for people is because of a “code of honour” amongst Japanese fans. They won’t spoil the enjoyment for people who are going to the concerts after them, and I think that is admirable. So I will only post the final set, on Oct 5th, but I’m sure it will be uploaded by someone else before that.

Don't watch this reacter but was directed here by a guy who asked me about LB current tour's setlists, actually on another reactor's listen to another band. There are Japanese fans who will give LB setlists, with a spoiler alert. A guy in Fukuoka did so for the set at Drum Logos on Aug. 26. He gave (spoiler alert): 1. We are the Resurrection 2. Judgment Day 3. When Destinies Align MC 4. Dissonance 5. Above the Black Sea 6. Piano solo La Campanella short version 7. Lost in the Garden (Asami on piano partly) Drum solo Bass solo 8. Scream for Me MC 9. My Orion 10. Signs of Deliverance 11. Don't Bite the Dust MC 12. Stand and Deliver 13. M.D.O. 14. Edge of the World 15. Clockwork Immortality intro as a prelude or lead-in to 16. Soldier Stands Solitarily Encore 17. Holy War 18. We the United (Asami on piano partly) He said he's 95% sure he got the list right, apparently didn't write it down but recalled it later. Probably one or more of the lists will appear soon enough on r . # . e . $ . d . & . d . ~ . i . # . t . (y t wipes it if I write it right.) I'll be seeing LB at Nagoya (if I get back from Hong Kong/Singapore trip in time), at Tokyo, and at Yokohama (will definitely get back from California in time). Don't imagine the set will change drastically but will be interesting to see what changes are made over the tour.

@@otobokegaijin6218 Appreciate the list and the spoiler alert. Fans who don't want to know yet shouldn't read your reply. Having said that, that's quite a list !! The ladies must have been exhausted after 18 tracks, especially with 5 songs they're playing LIVE for the first time. I suppose the piano, drum and bass solos would have given everyone else a small break. Oh, how I wish I was there, this would have been a phenomenal show ! Hopefully there'll be a DVD/blu-ray by the end of this year...

Champ, Thanks for giving maximum respect to this exceptional band whose musicianship transcends gender and musical genres. Your candid feedback and respect for their excellence beyond your personal preferences reflects your character and maturity - traits that are sadly lacking in too may reactors who keep harping on their own narrow preferences, with scant appreciation to the depth of skill and dedication it takes to achieve such levels of excellence. As a fan of LOVEBITES over the past year, I've found them truly inspiring. P.S. Your reaction to their Swan Song was one of the first I saw, and I remember well your parting statement, "We should all feel grateful to live in the time of Miyako". I concur.

Fami is "The Fifth Element". There are plenty of bassists competent enough to play with Lovebites, but Fami? They might as well have _created_ Fami from dark Japanese magic using a huge black caldron, or built her up from 3D-printed DNA and custom-folded protein chains using nanobots. And oila! There she is. The perfect ADDITION to Lovebites. It wouldn't be enough to just get a good bassist who could play Miyako's compositions, they needed to ADD to the group. They needed a "Fifth Element". Perfect.

Great new album from LoveBites after thier long hiatus n maternity leave. It seems that they all out with this album esp with the new bassist Fami. Haruna... She's faster than Usain Bolt,Mama Asami .. she's awesome as usual. Midori,she's like an Amazon warrior on guitar, don't mess with her. Mama Miyako .. KICK ASS n always the brain n the new bassist Fami, fabulous smile n slapping. You should listen to Soldier Stand Solitarily. That's song really out of this world. I do think Miyako wrote that song during her pregnancy time.

Thank you so much for reacting to this. 😊 2:55 Absolutely right, and I wrote that below another reaction: Shout out to whoever mixed this live gig. Perfect job. 👌👍👏 8:05 Damn right. I know that _perfectly_ , because I already listened to many, many reactions, and only musical so-and-so's reacted *critically* to Lovebites masterpieces up to now. It is like criticising Leonardo da Vinci's "Mona Lisa" or Shakespeare's "Hamlet". Masterpieces are just masterpieces. Of course there also is freedom of speech and so on, but it is so _ridiculous_ to "touch" a masterpiece. Lovebites are just _the perfect_ example for the fact, that great sound mixing skills serve for nothing without great musicianship, and the other way 'round. Here: great musicianship + great sound engineering: awesome result. 😃 *Midori* is actually leading this live act guitar-wise, and she just *commands* her part. And M&M arrangements are legendary/iconic already anyway. *Fami* (the new bass player) keeps a low profile personally, but her fingers are dancing all across the strings the whole time. 😄It is sooo cool to listen to her! 😄 To me, watching this is like when The Beatles, Queen or Iron Maiden took off (in terms of musical reputation and fame). Lovebites are just phenomenal. Incomparable. Music history in the making. What a privilege to be able to witness this. 🐺

Lovebites is a wonderful Garden of Unearthly Delights-always subverting anything you know about metal, about loud and aggressive music, about musical ATTACK...when it's done, and done so unbelievably well, by these tiny joyous virtuosos in white, it's like they're transporting you to some new place where your preconceptions are meaningless. The music is wonderful, the whole presentation is other-worldly wonderful.

Thank you for following lovebittes. Great analysis and feedback. 【The following is from an interview featuring LOVEBITES in a magazine project】 Miyoko said that she always felt "annoyed (≒「カチンときていた」Japanese)" when she saw comments like "Miyoko can't play fast. Miyako responded that the character distinction between Miyoko and Midori during the performance is "Miyoko is melodious" and "Midori is shredding". In fact, the solo parts in "LOVEBITES" are composed according to Miyako&Midori's characters. According to Miyoko, there is a big difference between "I can play fast, but I don't have to, so I don't play" and "I can't, so I don't play" In the new album, Miyoko has increased the number of notes and Midori has decreased the number of notes, Midori has reduced the number of notes. Miyoko says, "This time, people tend to think that Miyoko's performance method is closer to Midori's, but I didn't get that close. Miyako says, "What Midori and I do is different from each other." Miyako says that Midori and I "play differently and have different playing habits. Continued below

【In an interview with Miyako, Midori, and Fami for another magazine project】 In an interview with Miyako, Midori, and Fami for another magazine project, Miyako said, "I was practicing alone at home in silence" regarding fast playing. Someone translated another interview article and wrote that Miyako was taking guitar lessons from Midori, which is completely This is a completely wrong translation. Miyako and Midori took guitar lessons together during their hiatus. If Miyoko can become more like Midori by taking lessons from Midori who has a different way of playing, will the "ensemble of twin solos and synchronized solos" that has been formed by their different ways of playing? Miyako&Midori practice together on a daily basis. It is Miyako&Midori practicing the timing of their synchronized playing. They are cultivating the Japanese term "aun-no-breath(あ う んの呼吸)".It refers to the state of being able to communicate without words, and to the state of being in agreement with each other in terms of timing and timing. The effect of this is that Miyako&Midori achieve no-LOOK timing in most cases! The second reason is for Miyako to know Midori's playing method, skills, habits, and strong points in composing music.

Are they the best 5 musicians? I don't know, most likely not, BUT it gets often forgotten (beside their incredible talent on the instruments): a) how good they are in track composing and writing b) how good they are to bring this live there are tons of super musicians, Tina S. on guitar just as example, but Lovebites brings this all together, and levels up a genre of music that has been just "metal, speed and melodies no one recognizes 5 mins later" (pardon Dragonforce, Galneryus, et al.) This is simply another level... and putting in a live DVD, full power up, a glass of Chardonnay... this is the best live music experience in metal you can have (EXCEPT they come to Europe again - and I will be there for sure)

Great review Champ. This type of stage setting is from Ride for Vengeance Tour 2021. Pyro is from Set the World on Fire, red lighting with laser beams is from Winds of Transylvania. I agree with you. There is an outstanding band which happens to be a power metal band. It's not about the genre, but about its musicality. I also agree with you about M&M. Midori is super skilled in playing guitar. Miyako is more moderate in technique but she plays brilliant total music. Yes, Miyako is very pretty, and have you watched her MV playing Eagle Fly Free piano cover from her personal album Miyako Etude Op 23? She is so beautiful, gorgeous, gracious, and noble as a goddess in a dark blue dress with black long hair.

IMO, Alan, is more than a casual fan, but not a hardcore fan, if i had to guess, for female bands, LB is not a top 5 for him, probably bottom half of a top 10, but if/when they tour, he will be there, i will say this, he is doing better then me, because I'm pretty sure these 3 bands are ahead of LB, in his hierarchy, and i don't like BM, B-M or Hanabie , so there is that.

I remember the first song i saw/heared of them was "When destinys align" and i really loved the guitar solos of course, but the vocals was also not really so my thing, since i'm normally more into symphonic metal. But then somebody said i should listen to the "e-songs" .. and there Asami showed much more what she could do for me in those slower parts of the songs. And then i also started to like the powermetal songs more and more, even though i also don't listen to any other powermetal at all. But Lovebites is now maybe the band that i listen to the most in the last years. For Miyako vs. Midori .. yeah Midori can maybe shred fast but Miyako has more "soul", "feeling" however you wanna call it. Just think of David Gilmour, he doesn't need to play fast and he is still one of the greatest guitarists because he can say more with one note than others with 100.
