I've never been fired but you are absolutely correct in saying that companies will dispose of you like a worthless object as soon as their revenues drop or their managers screw up and fall to make a profit. When a job turns toxic, I don't hesitate to quit. This has so far always led to a better opportunity. Never be afraid to quit. Companies nowadays don't care about people. They learn when it is too late that people are their greatest asset.

It honestly never really is about performance. Those who’ve had your position and will have your position will basically produce the same work output. Firing is usually personal.

Yep. Spot on. I found myself constantly thinking of work. I lost my appetite. I started having insomnia. The insomnia caught up with me and I almost crashed my car on the way home from work. Gave my notice. Now I have no income but at least I have my life.

Spot on and very common in the workplace which is dominated by narcissists. Narcissism is epidemic in the USA. Narcissists reach the top by aggression and by pretending. Whenever I find myself in this situation, I quit. It's not worth it.

I've had this in my past two work places. Took me a year to recover mentally. Co-workers are only happy to be your friend, until it no longer fits their agenda or are promoted over you. Yes, go to pubs with em to feel like your being engaging or hang with them at the coffee machine. But for the love of god, never tell them your goals or how you want to progress. As they will use that against you!

How do I answer why did I change job every two years ? I cannot use the same excuse that I am looking for a new opportunity to grow and advance in my career or take more responsibilities, my job is not full filled and then they asked what kind of jobs do I want ?

School is exactly like this too. Forced friendships by brought together by having to get through life. And everyone disappears once you move.

"We need to reconsider the idea that co-workers are not friends with more nuances. Have a respectful and formal relation with your co-worker. Joke only when they initiate the joke and don't go overboard with your own joke. That includes your private life. Be aware of good and bad co-workers, people at every level of our society. However, the generalized negative view of workplace is a toxic self-fulfilling prophecy that undermines any chance for humanity, empathy, and trust between colleagues. It also destroys the possibility of workers uniting to stand up for their rights in the workplace. This mindset benefits the boss, who can easily divide and control the workforce. Not all co-workers are dangerous or bad! Of course, I wouldn’t expect a colleague to sacrifice their job to save mine-that’s unrealistic. However, this harmful notion carries a hidden agenda that has nothing to do with protecting workers from each other."

It's best to move on. Don't waste your youth, your life, money, and time. Employment lawyers cost around 300 to 500 per hour. Cases usually last for. Get a new job, for your own well-being. Don't waste your life.

I am so glad I watched this!! The question about the tough management totally threw me in the mock video. My first practice answer was terrible, my second much better. I could not believe this, but they ACTUALLY asked me this question in my interview. I would have bombed that one, but now I nailed it. So glad I watched this!

Some people crush through that and it makes them far stronger and more intimidating to those who are extremely jealous of you... it's something that you naturally cannot shut off and why should you.

They're always end up doing idiot s*** and coming back eating their own words... It's like putting razor blades in your mouth and try to munch on them and when they realized How wrong they were. Then they start singing a different tune.Based on their bosses that's been watching the whole time.

It is very difficult for very beautiful, confident and intelligent people to surrvive the workplace. About 80% of all people are average. It is a fact. I know that sounds arrogant, but its not. Its just how things are. Not everyone has huge talents and is smart. Most people are just average. And there is nothing bad about it. Average people have many advantages and live in a world, what is made for average people. They also have it easy to find a partner, cause many will make a good fit. Average people are not so much likely to develep depression or anxiety issues, cause their brain is more simple and they do not overthink and overanalyse. If youre not able to see under the surface , than you dont see the cruel and the dark side of society. People often told me, that I think to much and that I should be more relaxed. I never understood that. I do think and analyse the whole day. But average people do not. They are a bit like automats. But when average people can sense, that you are diffrent, than its very difficult. People my whole life tried to destroy me. I was always the target of envy. In my 20ies I got so much hate, that I could not handle it anymore. But I never thought it has to do, cause I am gifted. I thought that something is wrong with me and I could not believe that people could act so cruel just because of envy. It did not makes sense to me. I was naive! Now I know that I am highly intelligent and now I know the WHY, people act so cruel to me. I learned that people are only nice to each other, as long as they dont see you as diffrent. Then the devil comes out.

Im going through this now. Tested positive for COVID Sunday 9/15/2024. First three days tight chest hard to breathe and diarrhea. The doctor wrote me out of work for three days to rest and take meds. I was wrote up and put on a final and they tried to force me to work while I was stressing to breathe! I was so scared I was gonna die! I am a great employee show up to work on time everyday top performer. I just donr understand why they would do me like this! Its like they're trying to get rid of me! The attendance policy says that certain situations can be reviewed by executive management. Manager will not review and every time I bring up silence. Im sad, wish i never caught COVID would nt be going threw this right now.

Not sure how to apply this when in a fresh career change and trying to leave the initial job after 4 months due to a toxic boss. One that prevents any accomplishments and changes the goal post with every task so you're never doing things "right". "In my current role I'm gaslit, hogtied and verbally abused making it impossible to perform tasks I could do in my sleep... I'd love to contribute to the success of a team where I can showcase....." How do you make your current sound like gold when it's actually mud and it's actually caused a regression in your skills??

I have a boss like this,, and I am one of her supervisors,, and I am very much fed up,, but I have learned to try and tune her out and document EVERYTHING as well as not to engage with her I am not giving her any attention or ammo for her toxic tendencies,, I don’t waste my time and energy on people like this I go in, do my best, and leave Nothing more except looking for new work opportunities elsewhere.😊

They are miserable unhappy people. Don't be like them, leave. If you've attracted a miserable unhappy person to your life, that's your clue that you are in the wrong place and/or wrong profession and for some reason you are miserable too but just not aware of it.

I told my sister like 20 times that coworkers shouldn't he taken as friends. Maybe decent colleagues relationship but nothing more because she never believed in what I used to tell her until she became disappointed of her mates how they never ask back when they leave when she thought they care or that they were friends. Work is a business social circle not a personal one. Once you meet up with a person for work or business, personal relationship with them will interfere and never work out in business

Thank you so much for this video 🙏🏼 I am currently dealing with a boss like this, sign 1,2, #3 is a big one in my case and # 5 too. #6 for sure. This supervisor is a huge narcissist very manipulative and enjoys bringing me down, and wants to destroy my self esteem and my work reputation. 💯 These types of people shouldn't have these types of positions.

When companies mention also in their job post that they hire a junior or that they require someone who works under stress and short project timelines it's also a huge red flag indicator of bad management and quite stressful environment with overload unpaid working hours and bad remuneration. I tried a job two weeks ago and left due to many red flags of this not to mention they refused to give me a contract first two weeks and decided not to carry on with me claiming that I didn't do enough while i was working everyday 12 hours. I think the only one thing i can serve others in is complain about this company and rate it low
