Ram Ram. Great to see this effort to bring to light all Palghat agraharams. My grandfather, Sri Pallavoor Sankara Iyer has contributed to Nama sankeertanam by compiling the first Sampradaya bhajan book in Malayalam. Even today, the Malayalam book that most of us use to sing is this one. Thatha re located to Thiruvanantapuram. All his children carry forward the nama sankeertanam legacy. My father Tripunithura Sri PS Ramachandran bhagavathar is taking a step further by having an institution called Sampradaya Bhajan Vidyalayam where free online training is given to many on Sampradaya bhajan, ashtapadi, tarangam, abhangam etc. We are all grateful to Pallavoor Appan for this blesssed life and pious lineage. Have Beautiful memories of my stay at the gramam during my childhood... used to visit every year with dad and mother Swarnam... So happy we hav something to see and feel proud of our roots...compliments to Sairam for having produced this...

Om Sairam. This is good effort Mr Sreeram alias Hari and son of ..........(not mentioned) and grandson of Rama bhaghvathar. Very noble hard work. I know abt this old village in Nemmara. I was in that single street from my birth to till 4th std. I can write another Malgudi days with that 4 years Here this 2 gentle men first one we used to call him Venu Anna. He was our hero. He was a handsome young man. Very rich with car etc. when he goes in his car with his cooling glass he used to look like Kamal Hasan. He spoke very well. Another prof Gopalakrishnan we used to call him Balan Anna. He was a leader in his own terms. But both of them forgot to mention abt my Chithappa Mr K.V.Ramachandrn brother of my dadd K.V Gopalakrishnan. My Chithappa and my Dadd struggled a lot in their childhood and my Chithappa studied well and become vice president in American express bank. He donated a lots of money for this Krishna temple and he used to call Him as his partner. Once when temple was struggling for daily naivedyam and oil my Chithappa donated Rs 1 lac for this purpose. It was a news at that time. U took video near to a well. If u notice there his or his mother my Patty's name Rugmini is engraved there. He spent a lots of money to deepen this well which was only source of water for temple at that time . He donated money to buy a house for village meetings etc and converted it as a kalyana mandapam as he thought income from that can be used for temple.. His only request was to name it as his mother's name "Rugmini kalyana mandapam". But some how village committee not permitted it and they named it as Navannetha Krishna kalyana mandapam. He got disappointed by this. He become sad. He then built another kalyana mandapam behind temple and named it in his mother's name.He.sold it when he become very old and realized he can not travel any more to Nemmara. He used to call Him(Krishna) as my "Nemmara Krishnan". Once r got the dream of his Krishna early morning standing with cow and calling him to Him. Later that day he realized it was avgokulashtami day. Immediately next day he travelled to Nemmara. He used to stay with us and used to give us Rs 100 and above as Vishukkai neettam. Even though he has so much money he will come in second class and travel by bus. We feel he is a miser. But he knows value of money. He used to advice importance of English communication . After retirement he started a business in his car garage in Bengalore and named it as Ram-Krish . Half of the profit he used to donate to this temple. As this two gentle men forgot to mention abt my Chithappa I felt it is my responsibility to record this for posterity sake. Time is running fast .We all will vanish behind the screen. But story go on like this. Have a great future for ur this endeavour. May Bhaghvan bless u and ur family on this occasion of Deepavali. Om Sairam

My Grandfather was born near by village Ayakkad. My grandmother had told that My Grandfather yearly do a vazhipadu called vilakku vaippu. Ghee lamp will be lighted with Vedic chanting followed by Brahmana bhojanam. I have gone to the temple. My Grandfather's house name is Kundil Madhom. Before seeing this video I made some ekanikka today morning.

It is very nostalgic to view the video on Kongalakkottu Gramam of Kavasseri. It also evokes sad feelings to know that only a very few number of original families live there, although the temples and traditional poojas are continued to be held with a spirit of cooperation and devotion. All the very best to the residents from a very senior citizen whose forefathers once lived in the EP Gramam.
