Very beautiful presentation. Except a few prominent villages like Kalpathy Group and Nurani most of Bhramins left their ancestral villages mainly due Land reforms and employment. Now all villages are financially rich but no working hand to do work. The Bhramins population is shrinking and next generation is not so attached. However all villagers are happy to conduct the rituals especially Nair community.

Recently the temple has undergone soke modifications like another row of concrete structures around chuttambalam and other eye sore structures. Many trees were felled in the name of development. These thoughtless actions have spoiled not not only the aesthetic appearance of the grand temple but also the heritage aspects. This is very sad! Temples should be kept simple and in vastu of the temple structures as per scripts. Concrete , plastic and fibre , steel structures should be eliminated. This is our humble opinion

I too subscribe to the retention of the traditional structures as much as possible.
