@DetroitFoodReview I'll let you know brother. You have to like liver and many people don't. I'm Belgian and that pigeon dish looks good as well. My neighbor was a pigeon racer and flew competitively at the Cadieux Cafe on the east side. He shared some pigeon dishes with me over the years, delicious. Check them out if you want to try some Belgian food. I moved out of Detroit so I'm not sure if they still serve blood sausage, Belgian sausage, or liver pate. They're mussels are incredible but gets the gout going in my body.

I prefer having the pepp as well, cheese pizza is for the kids imo haha! Unless we’re talking about a classic Napoli Margherita Pizza, then I’m good with it being just cheese and basil with the tomato sauce. But American style pizza, I need at least some pepp or some other meat
@DetroitFoodReview19 сағат бұрын
I'm with you on that. My nieces love cheese pizza and it just doesn't do it for me. I love pepperoni most of the time but I do love a deluxe with vegetables and 3 meats too! I used to go for the jalapeno with pepperoni but in my older age these days it doesn't agree lol Thanks for checking out the video brother!

@@DetroitFoodReview I do know the area but we don't eat out often We LOVE Vizzy's Pizze a couple miles west of there in Westland, that one of our go to pizza places. I'll check with my family about local places not chains for recommendations. They eat out to family owned or in general than we do. I've never had Egyptian but I'm interested and I know my adult kids would be willing and eager to eat there. Again, thanks for the review.

Almond boneless chicken (ABC) is my all time favorite. An original ABC is difficult to find the further north you go from the Detroit area. NO one makes egg rolls using bean sprouts either up here. it's all cabbage or pre made and just heated. Wing Fong in Flint used to be so good. Used to eat there often when Ki had a buffet. Same with Golden Moon in Flint, not what it used to be either. Wing garden in Flushing had really good almond chicken but they changed ownership it's ok but not as good. Too many places claim to have good Chinese food but it's just generic to us. Detroit has the best food, bakeries and restaurants. Wish Tally Hall was still around back in the 80's you could get a giant plate of ABC w/white or fried rice and an egg roll w/orange egg roll sauce all for $3.11 I miss those days. The difference between almond chicken and almond boneless chicken is almond chicken is diced white ( no breading or batter dipped) chicken with vegetables in an opaque white sauce ((similar to chop suey gravy) topped with almonds. Almond boneless chicken is a whole tempura batter dipped chicken breast deep fried sliced into thick strips topped with a light golden brown gravy similar to egg foo young gravy topped with sliced or ground almonds and green onions. I enjoy your videos and miss the Metro Detroit area food.
@DetroitFoodReviewКүн бұрын
Thanks for checking out the video! I've heard this before. I've actually eaten the almond chicken with the white gravy before. I went on a trip to Indiana and we were craving Chinese so we just ordered almond chicken not knowing and when we got back to the hotel we were very disappointed LOL. Hope you get some good almond boneless chicken one day soon!
