That's great progress, Chris. It's getting exciting and it feels so much better to have the vehicle checked for errors that could be a safety concern. When the Mini is registered I'll get dad out for a tour and capture some memories.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Peter, I expected some of this type of minor issues with such a long term project, This is the check & recheck time of the project & some minor adjustments, Hopefully I can get them done in a timely manner. Thanks for checking these out, Chris. A lot of these tasks have been getting too difficult for Nev to solve and I didn't know enough about the systems to solve them. Great to see it will be safe and better organised after some work.

I did not realize these things are basically go carts with a VW motor. Always thought they were a little more complicated than that

They have a similar ground clearance & a much bigger foot print than a go cart, also have more suspension adjustment, quite affordable to get into & maintain, strictly regulated to emphasise driver skill, many great drivers stated in Vee’s & a lot of drivers come from go carting as the next step in their careers, very enjoyable to drive, I had forgotten how much I enjoyed driving the Spectre, very different to driving my Falcon

Gday McKie thanks for the vid very helpful. Quick question. I have the 2013 LR4 w/ V8. Had the water pump replaced. Getting red triangle and message saying coolant low but I've just put some coolant in. I am in a very small town in WV right now and had to get some Prestone "All vehicles" coolant at Walmart as they did not have the PEAK Pink OAT for European vehicles that is recommended. I put in the coolant and it gives the red triangle and says coolant low. Could it be I need to get the PEAK Pink coolant specifically for the 2013 LR$ HSE? Would that cause it to use it up so fast though just using the Prestone coolant? It doesn't make sense but I thought I'd ask. If not and I'm getting the red triangle after driving it for like maybe 10 miles. Do you reckon it might be the same issue as you have just discovered? It is not saying coolant low this last time as yet just the red triangle however when I get back in and start it back up it may give the coolant low message and red triangle both again.

G’day @DogeGFsolo, Sorry for the delay, hopefully you have got it sorted by now but, I think you have a bad level sensor in the header tank not sensing the level, I have had this problem & replaced the tank to correct the problem, My advise if you are unable to get the correct coolant, for a short term solution is to just use water to topup until correct fluid is available then flush the system & fill with the correct fluid, this helps with possible problems with bad reactions with non conforming coolants.

@@mckie6032 thank you I appreciate it. My cousin is a mechanic and he tested the pressure on the coolant tank and we found a leak in the radiator. Ordered the radiator and getting it tomorrow friday. Hopefully that will take care of it but I did notice a tiny leak near one of the big tube hoses that will deal with after we put in the new radiator. Thank you so much I appreciate it

How did you know it was leaking here ? Was their coolant aeound the screw enough to see but evaporating off before falling down into engine and ground ?

Sorry for the delay responding, I was inspecting all around all the coolant lines for any weeping & spotted a coolant sitting in the top of the bleeder, blew it off with compressed air & watched it come back after sitting for a while under pressure, I’m a mechanic & have seen a lot of coolant problems when the plastic coolant parts age.

Sorry for the delay to your question Eric, It’s a bleeder plug, I wasn’t interested in purchasing the complete crossover pipe, so went to & found this one for a different model that does a better job of not braking off, you can get one from there web store. Hope the video helped you, Thanks
