what size belt are you running I’m seeing that you don’t have a ac or power steering did you notice any power difference when removing them

I do have both! The AC compressor and power steering pump stayed in the car as they’re not required to be removed to take out the engine

3V is perfectly FINE!!!! The single exhaust valve flows enough, excess exhaust flow of 4v doesn't really help power! On the 3V they will need ported and if someone could install larger valves especially on the intake side that will really help it! I don't know if anyone sleeved one of these for a larger bore? I have heard of stroking, but most of the modulars have similar or the same bore spacing so you could install a Coyote sleeve in them for a larger bore.

I'm going to try and keep it NA for a while longer, but the boost is tempting! I’m gonna focus on cosmetics for the next year then I’m planning on boosting it. Thanks!

Impressive, i take it you are not a mechanic by day? I've been running my 06 gt with a whipple at 12psi forever and always expected something to let go by now. I'm sure a 125 shot is a lot harder on the engine than just a blower. So you pulled the heads with the motor still in the car?

Was, got tired of being handed work orders, especially when I did lots of motorsports and worked on lots of other cars on the side. Made turning wrenches at work miserable. I’m a shop manager now. Nitrous itself isn’t really harmful by any means any more than boost. Nitrous is only introduced to the engine when it’s being driven hard whereas boost is constant. So long as you’re not driving it like you stole it and you take care of it you’ll be okay. This car sees A LOT of abuse lol

As for the heads, I initially did it all with the engine on a stand. Then I had pulled the heads while with the engine in the car. Ultimately I chose to pull the rest of the engine out lol

A new clutch and CHE torque limiters. Try the torque limiters first and if that doesn't fix it you've got clutch or internal issues.

I have a braided clutch line and an MGW. I shift the car at 7K. The clutch line made the biggest difference. But it could also be an internal issue

When you run boss 302 rods on the 3v, are you running a aftermarket crank? Main bearings?

OEM crank! OEM size Clevite bearings too. These stock crankshafts are super strong so I had no issue with reusing it.

Only internals were OEM boss 302 rods. But the engine got a refresh, so crank bearings, rod bearings, and pistons rings were new OEM. GT500 oil pump upgrade, and some more stuff. I have a video on my channel where I break it all down

Fbo in the sense that it has all the bolt ons. Longtubes, catless midpipe, underdrive pulley, cold air intake, throttle body, intake manifold. Anything that can be bolted on for power haha

I had the Truetrac for about 1000 miles. The driveline/gear shop wanted it back at 1000 to check that everything was ok seal-wise. It's been a bit clunky sounding since I got it and from what I understood that was pretty normal with the model that goes into the 31 spline axles with the 3 worm gears instead of the 33 spline 4 worm gear GT500 version. Something about the play in the carrier was the reasoning. When I took it back, I took it for a ride with them since they had told me it should have a few and that it was normal, but upon the ride with me, they decided it was TOO loud and something was up. We opted to put a clutch based differential back in and I picked it back up yesterday. It honestly feels a little grippier with the clutch based packs, but I'm going to miss the smoothness of the Eaton and how cool the idea of the worm gears and a gear based diff is. I'm also running 4.10s and enjoy them quite a bit more than the 3.55s I had previously. Although, now I'm wishing I had the T56 Magnum XL for the 6th gear for slightly better highway driving and fuel economy. Eh, that's for later.

If it wasn’t then it wouldn’t haven’t come remotely close during the rolls. This video is a perfect example of a car that built to win vs a car with a power adder and no supporting mods.

Edelbrock car ran like a dream. The blower was only putting out 8lbs of boost. Tall 28” tires, 3.31 gears, and an overall heavier car meant my lighter, higher revving, aggressively geared car had some advantages that made up for any power difference.

Thank you! My car had laid down 361whp and 341whp on two different dynos with the same setup. The Edelbrock car most likely makes around 400+whp with that blower and cam combo

Did you get any 02 codes with the lone tube headers. How did you manage to get good numbers with the air/fuel ratio off due to CEL

It’s all in the tuning. Good tuner will disable the rear sensors and utilize the other two sensors to obtain the fuel mixture he’s looking for

Whoever was driving the ZL1 cant drive. 550hp at crank vs maybe 400 in the mustang, my buddy has a brenspeed bullit, with absolutely everything you can do to a stock 3 valve without forced induction and it barely outruns my stock 2011 ss by a door. He also runs 410 gears. If i threw a stock lsa supercharger on my car, it wouldn't be close. Im not hating on the mustang because i love mustangs, but that zl1 with proper driver is waxing 340 wheel all day long.

I’ve raced supercharged 3v’s and had the same result. It’s easier to launch a 350whp car that weighs 3200lbs than it is to launch a 500whp 3800lb car.
