Hey if you came here to see why your hand sprayer/spot remover is not work, or no suction please read watch the video and then read @asiab8647 comment. If you don't find it, this is her/his comment "I couldn’t get the hose to suction for the life of me.... then I realized your brush attachments were removed, so I removed mine and it worked !!!! So everyone try that if you’re hose isn’t suctioning!"
@haciendadadКүн бұрын
Hey @DillonCleans I don't know how you can read all the comments about why the handle spot remover doesn't work yet, the answer was posted three years ago by @asiab8647 she said she got that to work and you even responded to her with "Great, glad it works" yet all the other people having the same problem, you didn't refer them all to @asiab8647 comment. Not cool!

I went from a Vertex to a Riccar R40 - it was night and day! The Vertex left so much in the carpet, it also doesn’t groom well with the power fins. Instead of pulling it up, it matted it down over 3 years. The Riccar reversed it.

5:18 You can't give official advice against the recommendation of the literal manufacturer and NOT say why. You can wash these. but you seem adamant so I'm all ears. why? why were you so firm? even knowing shark does say you can wash them? knowing this will minimize performance of the machine, why recommend against it? and why do so without a single mention of evidence or even working explanation why this is true and why it leads to better performance? again this isn't a "gotcha" I want to know if there's a better answer. Because my machine instructs me to wash my shark liftaway with water only.
@DillonCleans7 күн бұрын
@@CYMotorsport washing a HEPA filter is generally not a good idea. HEPA filter stands for high efficiency, particulate air. They can filter out a lot including minerals that are in the water. This could then lead to the filter being clogged or not filtering as effective as it once was. in addition, most of the dirt that is in the post motor filter is carbon dust. Not household dust. Carbon dust, the motor. Carbon dust cannot be removed from a HEPA filter even if you wash it. To put it simply, washing a HEPA filter, will not affectively get it clean, and it could affect its filtering performance. It is best to tap and blow out the filter and replace it as needed.
@DillonCleans7 күн бұрын
@@CYMotorsport you are welcome to give it a try. And you may not notice an immediate difference. But to better the life of your vacuum, replace the filter with a genuine HEPA filter. It will make your air cleaner, your vacuum, breathe, better, and extend your vacuums lifespan.

Hard to choose but I’d go with Dyson, it’s quieter and most users won’t turn of the brush on the Dyson whatever the floor, they’re easier to move around and warranty has been great with them for me. We have Sharks and Dysons but Dysons are just better even if slightly more but it’s a one of purchase in 10 years
@DillonCleans15 күн бұрын
@@Awayze overall good choice. But as for easier to move, I disagree. This Dyson is so hard to move and not at all easy to maneuver.

Why have a vacant compartment on the side when it looks like it's designed for a filter and nothing else?
@DillonCleans19 күн бұрын
Most likely to save money. The DC07 had it on the side. But with improvements, they moved the filter to the cyclone on the Dc14. They saved money by not changing the design.

Can you also use carpet freshener as well as the solution to pretreat stains ?

If you’re referring to carpet powder, I would not advise that. To pretreat stains, use carpet cleaner solution directly on the stain, or your favorite all purpose cleaner that’s safe on your type of carpet.

Hey man.. I know this is an old video but I have the 2019 version and did all the filters and checked hoses. Just no suction. Have power. Bristles turn and roll but no suction. Advice? I’m very handy, I can fix wires or find shorts. Is there a suction pump I need to look at?
@DillonCleans19 күн бұрын
Hey! Let me see if I can help you out here. And sorry for the late reply, I’ve been quite busy. Vacuums are actually very simple. A motor pulls suction through the filter, then cyclone system, then the hose down to the floor. So you just need to find where the suction is stopped. We will start with checking if there is suction coming from the motor. There likely will be. To check this, take off the bin, and see there the ip of the bin meet the spine of the vacuum. Not the round hole off to the side. It’s more rectangular in the middle. If there is suction there, place the bin on the vacuum and see if there is suction coming from through hose. Is there is not, your clog is somewhere in the hose or cyclone assembly. Take off the hose and look all the way through it. Or shove a broomstick through it. It will either go through all the way or get stuck. If it gets stuck, get pushing, the clog will get pushed through. If the hose is clear, check the cyclone assembly. Make sure filters are washed. And the cyclone in the bus in clean and not being blocked. If there is suction coming from the hose, the problem is in the lower hose out to the Brushroll. Basically follow the line of suction throughout the vacuum and see where the suction stops. Then you know the problem lies in that area. I know this was a lot of info but I hope it helps. If it doesn’t, I do offer video calls through instagram to help more one on one. Please let me know if any of this helped.

Same probs as you getting the last screw in .A magnetized T15 is needed to get the screw in the hole centrally .Also similar prob with that last job. I would nt recommend trying this job if you re not used to fiddling with stuff as it will drive you crazy . I managed to wrestle the large belt on without the tool but it was a bit brutal .
