A few things I have discovered on my 2019: 1) I can choose between hold, roll and creep for my brake setting. What you described seems like roll, and what you want sounds like hold. 2) The front cupholders are removable, so that can serve as storage BUT the location of the back cupholders is simply impractical unless your elbows bend the other way. 3) While there are blind-spot / side cameras I don't understand why they never applied the update to activate them automatically when you use the traffic signal. 4) card and phone proximity entry is not supported in this previous model S. 5) However happy over all and not planning on upgrading: I prefer the stalks, full steering wheel and even portrait screen to the 2021 redesign.

Crazy how the blind spot camera doesn’t appear on turning signals… smh

The reason why your 2019 Model S will hold the car in place is because 2019 was the first year Tesla started using the Permanent Magnet Motor, in the Model S. Which is the mechanism that holds the car in place. Prior to 2019, all model s, don’t have his feature, which is why is guy in the video is bringing that up as a dislike, as his loaner Model S is a 2017. And I agree with him 100%. Coming from a Model 3, that holds the car in place, it’s very difficult to go back to a older Tesla that doesn’t have that feature

Yea that cupholder/space situation is trash. Do the 17s have the side camera for switching lanes?
@DillonCleans Жыл бұрын
I believe it has the camera but when switching lanes, I don’t remember the camera popping up. It may just be for sentry mode or put vehicle needed an update. It’s been so long I just don’t remember

What does it get on the Highway with distance Considering it being an electric Vehicle

It’s hard to say. I only have this car for about 5 days while my Tesla was in service. But I’ve found distance traveled and battery drain seem to be about where they should be. For every Tesla I’ve driven at least.

What’s the charge time at a Tesla supercharger or at home for a 2017 model S?
@ravenm. Жыл бұрын
You have to press down on the brake pedal hard to engage hold.

Yeah and it’s just not something I’m used to. I like the newer way much better. It slows itself all the way down to a stop and you never have to use the brake
