Absolutely stunning, whats your thoughts on the lug to lug? longines seem to have long lug to lug specs.

Nice review. Do you think the polished SS bracelet version is too shiny or blingy looking?
@friskjidjidoglu74152 ай бұрын
2:36 That’s not what “lug-to-lug” means. That’s its “effective length”. 7:58 and screws do not provide extra security. Pins also allow the bracelet to be thinner.

Nice! The "willard" here I cant get around that the crown is at wrong position. Original has crown position at ~21 minute and this has at ~19 min. It dosent sounds that much but when you see it then it is hard to get it unseen.😂 And that also mess up the "crown gards" width/size. Their propotions is then out of wack..😅

Great review! I own this watch as well and I was also blown away by the level of finishing when I received it. I would say it's at least on par if not a bit better than my IWC Pilot Mark XX, and very similar to Omega/Rolex. Other than the lugs being 21mm, this would be as close to a perfect watch as it gets.

I’ve sort of become obsessed with this video. I’ve been watching reviews of this watch (while I wait for a raise at work till I buy one) and came across your video. Between the great closeup video of the watch, the lovely choice of evening jazz music, and the calm relaxing voice, I keep watching this video in the background over and over. Thanks!

How durable is the gold coating.? Will it tarnish over time.?

I have the green one on a green rubber strap. This one would look good on a blue rubber strap. I don't like Nato straps because they add height to the watch.

I hear doxa is not the best made watch but what's your opinion?
@sandsoftime32485 ай бұрын
The doxa is built well for the price. My only gripe with it is the sun par lume for the class of watch it is. It's build quality is very good, dial is good, bracelet is good as well. The overall case finishing is almost comparable to an omega.

Seems the short love affair for big heavy thick over the top watches has broken and the pendulum is swinging back the other way. Watch peeps complained for decades that they wanted bigger, thicker watches with a ton of wrist presence. Now everyone wants smaller thinner lighter watches. IMO 14.5mm is not overly thick for a Sports watch and a 39/40mm case diameter is a classic size. We’ve come full circle just like the old school watch experts said we would. Beautiful watch. Been eyeing one but waited for the mania around it to die down. Tons of used on the market for considerable discounts. I guess people couldn’t live with the thickness because everything else about this Tudor BB Pro ticks all the right boxes for a daily driver

Really wanted to love this watch and got the 40mm SS blue dial on leather but it went back within days as the accuracy out of the gate was +9s/day on a full daily wind averaged over 4 days - ie not COSC and accuracy bettered by Tissot - and the lug finishing was rough on the top lugs (by rough think taking a metal file to the metal and grind away some ugly surfaces that are not as designed) and the buckle had three small dings. These are not inexpensive watches and I feel the COSC thing is pure BS marketing. Although the watch I had bought new was a dog I really did like it just very disappointing in the details at this mid price. Maybe I’ll give this another go as maybe the one I had was something that got under the QC bar somehow.

Nice review. After sneaking around the Tetra line for some time I picked up the Ode to Joy with the green dial a few weeks ago and recently upgraded it with a deployment clasp. As a watch enthusiast I wanted a hand-wound movement at some point and as a German I of course "need" to have a watch from Glashütte. And although this won't be my last watch it pretty much completed a circle since it is my first hand-wound watch since my childhood. Having the possibility to look at the beautifully decorated movement is a nice bonus.

it's a nice watch but it's too bad they always stick to the same dial i.e. same typeface, every second number is a line... it makes me apprehensive to get another nomos for that reason, not different enough from the one I already have...

Great review - I recently sold my Tuna (SBBN029 - LE of 700) for family reasons (daughter first car) and am starting my research on the next (lol) for 2024. Darth Tuna is calling my name. Was considering the SBBN011 but I do like this modern version better. The hands are better, and I agree with you on the MM text. The white tip seconds hand and shorted lollipop side is also a winner when comparing the two. It looks great. Killer strap change as well with wonderful contrast. Just need to find the right one at the right price.

I missed a point regarding this watch, since it is a front loaded watch there is higher cost to do a battery change, i believe it is a 250 AUD cost to do a battery change service, this will also include pressure testing the watch etc

Bought it, and had to return it. The thickness wasn’t an issue, but the top-heavy nature/weight was. It just didn’t feel comfortable on my 6.75” wrist. It almost felt like the weight of the case head was not spread across a wide enough footprint. It tended to stick in one spot on my wrist; I couldn’t easily flick my wrist and get it to slide a bit and move to a new spot. A shame…I loved the look and the finishing!

Lovely watch you have there. I own a Tudor Black Bay 925 with a standard leather strap. It is very light and the movement has Rolex accuracy. I believe that Tudor test/set their chronometer movements to within +4/-2 seconds a day and mine is well within this parameter. Amazing narration by the way, you could do it professionally.
