HiCare is called now "Support" and it does not work at all, cannot proceed any further out of security reasons or whatever, it is shutting down or I get offerend Android 10 and click on "install" and I get a security warning and this shit is shutting down

Excellent video thank you. Taking it slowly really is the answer. A day of research followed by a day removing the obstinate 12 year old glue and a day of installing the new battery and calibration. That seems to have worked well.

I tried to update yesterday 27 July 2024 but it did not work as the unit did not seem to want to take the update on the USB stick. When clicking on update the screen goes black, then it says “3” and boots right up again with the regular screen. In my case it says “Y” since I have a model Y. I never get the black screen with the text-code that I see in your video. I have formed the usb stick in my MacBook Pro in MS-DOS (FAT32). Maybe that is the problem. It needs to be in a PC?? Any thoughts anyone? I still have the high beam headlight symbol on the display even though Im in low beam and have a completely wrong battery percentage (17%) Any help is appreciated. Great tutorial. I've followed advice from the comments which warns about isopropyl alcohol leaking to the screen, so I packed it with plastic film. In the end of process, there was isopropyl alcohol leaking from the keyboard, so protecting the screen is mandatory. I ended up replacing the speakers from another tutorial, now my rMBP feels brand new. Thank you!

Hi, I have a problem with the screen. As soon as I turn off the car and then turn it back on, the screen goes completely black. To restart it every time, I have to disconnect and reconnect the cable located on the door side, and the screen turns back on. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know how I can try to fix it?

1:06 right where you are pointing at, 1cm higher, there is a connector with a 6-wire cable running across the left screw (1). It doesn't seem to exist in your case... 🧐 Remove before unscrewing. It is tricky because the plug is encased in a thin plastic wall. A spudger is too wide to get under the cables, so, gently pulling it in all directions helps and it popps off.

I love the 9800. Its larger size worka better with mt 55 year old eyeballs. Pegramjng it is a bit of rockey sicence tho. Def not user friendly software. I may do a video on how i set mine up. Im sure there are better techniques then how i did it.

Hey Mark, Wow that TSU9800 is a beast! I've just seen a 9400 on the local auction site for $1 so was wondering if I should pick it up and have a go. I too have a lot of audio equipment though not as impressive collection as yours! Was just wondering if it's still worth buying, it comes with a spare batt, all cabling and even the wireless sender! Is it the Pronto you showed near the end that you use as your daily driver? I really, really wanted the orignal Pronto remote back in the day, but as my system was an Orion portable TV with a Pro Logic mini system (I was 10 in 1999), it would have been pointless. Now married in our own home with A/C and several AV systems, I keep thinking about getting one of the Pronto remotes, even though CEC meant when my Harmony One hit the bucket, we weren't really in need of a universal remote.

Can this be used for a Windows PC, as a remote control to launch software apps on the computer, and websites on the browser etc a bit like the elgato stream deck?

Minute 5:52 - cleaning the residue. Make sure you emphasize to put the pressure plate back over the trackpad. I missed that step and had to redo it. You show it there at minute 6:20 but you never say to make sure it's there. I missed that once I shut down the laptop to do the process. Oops ! LOL. Easy fix.

Great video. All advice should be followed. I use isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol (about 1 ounce) to soften the adhesive. I drizzled it over the top of the battery and then used an old, flimsy credit card to push the alcohol into the gaps. My new battery was slightly shorter (front to back) so I was able to line up the two screw holes first and then let the battery flop into place. Once the bottom plate was on I flipped the laptop over and wiped away any alcohol that had seeped through the trackpad. Overall took about an hour including cleanup. Charged overnight and now working perfectly.

I downloaded the drivers tried to install them and it did not run it could be I already have these installed but since there is no way of knowing given the display shows a number sequence that doesn't match the file name. I still always have the high beam blue light on and now with auto pilot updates left screen is always showing follow distance at 2 car lengths even though follow distance is no longer a user decision in the new autopilot. Any help or thoughts?

Like the video but not the product. I'm UK based, home of Megger but the 800 series isn't really pushed here, more in favour of the 210 and 410. Bought one though and it's just arrived. New out the box 835. The K probe is flaky with values dancing around and looks cheap and nasty. The case is also a bit 20 quid Aneng. Quite shocked really, pun intended. But really felt deflated that such a product could be so disappointing at this price (£235 inclusive). I've had a quick test and not impressed. My advice is do as Megger UK seem to have done, try and forget it! Anyhoo, that's my 10 cents worth.

Thanks for this very clear video, I'm in the process of cleaning the old glue. Two observations: 1) I and my wife between us have taken more than 2 hours to clear the glue from the outer two bays, we still have to tackle the loose central plate !! 2) I now understand why the Apple charge is so high, imagine a qualified technician spending 2 hours + to clear off glue. It is about time that Apple reverted to using screws and straps instead of glue/sticky tape. There is no reason why this battery needs to be glued in place. THe chassis could have ridges to give full lateral location and the vertical security could be by a moulded plastic cover secured by the existing battery screws and the 2 speaker housing screws. This use of glue is why I moved away from an iMac (when my 2008/ failed) to a Hackintosh on a fully customisable PC as all post 2013 iMacs are assembled with double-sided tape for which Apple ask £25.00 for a replacement pack and official repairers have told me that only the Apple tape works !!

these are two completely unrelated problems, first is corruption of data and second is wrong hdmi settings for display. i guess second is much more frequent, because seams pi4 dont work with default settings with probably 99% of monitors.
