What kind of tape did you use? This is the second year I used foam board. I used 2 inch. I didn't put skirting clear around mine. I live in Ks. No water in it, so no problem with freezing. I put 16ft on driver side. Covered most of 2/3 of it. I also have a garage about 6ft from it shielding it. The backend is on the north side. Put one sheet there. There is a good cedar wind break 30ft tall and about 100ft from the back end. On the door side I had 2 over lapping from tje door over the tires to the backend and one in front of the door. My car is real low to the ground so it is parked in front of it sideways. That helps my propane bill out. I went ahead and put a piece of tarp around the back corners. I need to go out and tape the edges together. It works temporary.

Soft start pumps, like yours, do not need torque arrestors. Torque arrestors can make it impossible to pull your pump in the future. They bind up and jam in the well. The cable guides are all you need to protect the wires, no arrestor needed.

So I started my National Park Trip in September of 2023 and by December I had visited 24 National Park Units collecting stamps. I live in Las Cruces New Mexico. Now I'm in my 30 National Parks including Hawaii. I found your page a few days ago and have been binge watching season 1 to see which parks I missed and need to hit this Christmas break. Love your content. Also something you missed out on, Las Cruces has the Organ Mountains as you said but they too are a National Park Unit they are the Organ Mountains National Monument as of 2014.
@AdventurousWay16 күн бұрын
Sounds like you're making great progress already! Fun fact about Organ Mountains National Monument....while it is a National Monument, it's managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) not the National Park Service (NPS) so it's not strictly a National Park Unit! We wrote more about that here: www.adventurousway.com/blog/what-is-a-national-park-unit

I Know this is probably a dealer/Kubota ad but I wish my salesman had taken as much time to go over things with me on my tractor. Your a good salesman....even after the sale especially.
@AdventurousWay17 күн бұрын
Not an ad! Kubota didn't compensate us whatsoever for this video. We figured it'd be useful to video it for ourselves to watch back again in future, and hopefully it might help other people too!

Why not use a brass fitting instead of a stainless barb? Like a Ford, Legend, or McD pack joint fitting? You wouldn't then need to worry about dissimilar metals. Also, stainless steel banding sometimes is sold with non stainless screws.

Well done! Great content and tight, well illustrated presentation. (useful even for DIY folks doing simple well pump and/or wire replacements -- yet were puzzled as to just how these pitless adapters work.... You've so helped me "see" just what I'm dealing with -- thank you. (will definitely check out your other videos too)

It was a requirement from our engineer for freeze protection on the pipe since we were unable to get the required depth due to rock.

It’s kind of messed up that there is no stamp, yet it’s in the collectors edition of the parks passport. I’ve been tempted to just use white out and put more Grand Canyon stamps in its place

I remember years ago (2004) when after removing the carpet I sanded down the floor of my living room (28 square meters) as part of a project to sand down the whole house bit by bit. I was aware of the possibility of self combustion so made sure to store the sawdust (before transporting it away) on a concreted area in my garden and in a belt and braces way, threw a large bucket of water over each 'load' just in case! As an aside the result looked great but made the living room considerably colder (duh as Homer Simpson would say!) in the cooler months, but I hadn't expected by how much, meaning a lot of time afterwards sealing gaps in the floorboards! Still worth it though aesthetically.
