My father lies about any and everything on top of gaslighting, double standards, being hypocritical, passive aggressive behavior, loves bullying, belittling, talking crap behind my back, false accusations, playing mind games, he acts like he's holier than thou and perfect.

I came here because it concerns me when I hear people say, "Everything Trump says is a lie", because it doesn't seem like his "lies" are as deceitful as many of Biden's. When Trump says, "We are building the wall now," when it hasn't begun, or, "We built the greatest economy in American history," when it was only the third best, those are "polishing the apple" lies. Biden lies about things he has accomplished in the past that he never did, and he EXPECTS us to believe him. I'm sure Trump believes that the 2020 election was stolen, but that's only his opinion. It's dishonest to call that a lie. He could only LIE if he knew with 100% legal certainty that it wasn't stolen, but we don't know for sure. I think it's VERY important to draw a distinction between the P.T. Barnum's of the world and the con men.

Great information! Additionally, with more workplaces trying to foster and build DEI, it's vital to identify cognitive distortions. This will help businesses, groups and teams avoid falling into the abyss of "Group Think" which hinders creativity, awareness and the candid sharing of ideas. ☺

I feel like this kind of "therapy" is completely useless at least for me. I know full well that I didn't cause my depression on purpose duh. But it does not make it go away. If I could just say well I am happy now and then be happy there would be no problems in the universe. I don't get what this is supposed to accomplish. I am a very reflective person. Knowing why I feel sad or blame myself doesn't change the feelings I have, ever

Talking about a spiritual master teaching…if he is not a jester as well, I‘d never trust him. True spiritual masters are very funny at times, happy to laugh about themselves and life. For me, it is only the shadow aspects of both types that don’t get along.

But how do you keep secrets from people who do not respect your privacy AND people you know will not respect you as a person, outright attack you if you tell them the truth? You either lie in fair (fair that might be justified) or are strong enough to tell them the truth, and if your friend is weak in that position you lie for them while trying to encourage them to tell the truth. --- If you are in a place where you can tell the truth and where no one will take advantage of you after you told them the truth, be grateful! I am grateful!

The quiz is great and gives some interesting results. My only issue is that the report you send seems incomplete, sections seem to be missing information and many of the links to videos do not work. But overall, a great way to get insights into how I act/react to certain things in certain ways. I wish that you had videos that centered specifically on the traits of each archetype individually as opposed to how they relate to other archetype...

Sorry but what the hell is mom in this thinking? Getting jobs and promotions is like playing poker against the house, after running a mandatory qualifying marathon for time. it’s not really about like getting more done. Especially as a manager, especially in that type of office. How do you even do exceptionally well in customer service? That an insane nebulous thin most people higher up at the bank ignore. His only moves are to look for another job or go back to school and get another degree, then take a pay cut for a few years and start climbing a different ladder. I’m sure dad would prefer to work 35 hours a week at a day spa and take care of dinner than do what he is doing. He probably should do much more around the house if the general theme of his role is accurate. But Mom only knows how to apply pressure to him to negatively prod him to get more resources. If she wants him to work more at home, that reasonable. If she really just wants to berate him into a triple figure income, that’s a bully move.

One thing that I may add about how to be wise: Listen to the advise of good people, people who care about you. I observed that most miserable people are stubborn. They don't listen to advise/suggestion/opinions from their friends, relatives, other people.
@claudiamanta1943
@claudiamanta1943 7 ай бұрын
And why is that? Are you wise (or intelligent) enough to know why they would not listen? Of course, they don’t listen because they’re ‘stubborn’. That’s it.
