Sounds fake. I've never had a move or major delivery where the drivers didn't keep in touch with me. And I've moved 30+ times.

I am going through this right now, it’s unbelievable this can happen in the United States. I read fake reviews and went along with it, these are robbers.

This place is criminal. They give you a false low quote. They take a non-refundable deposit. Then they triple the price days before the move knowing you have no options and that it’s too late to cancel. I see a class action taking this company down.

I just spoke with Safe Ship after doing a Google search for moving companies and one of those sites that claims to list the top 10 {whatever}, in this case, moving companies, was listed at the top of the Google search and promoted Safe Ship as their number one choice. As soon as I submitted my request for quotes on the site, Safe Ship called me in less than 30 seconds! It almost seems that they called me even before I submitted the form. I first spoke with one guy who was in sales who then passed me on to another guy (a manager?). This is a trick they use in car dealerships. They never revealed that they are not an actual moving company but a broker. And they used high pressure sales tactics, a condescending tone of voice and guilt tripping to get me to go with them. Then when I said I had decided to not go with them, they cautioned me not to be scammed. Imagine that, a scammer telling someone they're trying to scam to not be scammed. Also, why was the woman's face blocked later in the video (before the phone conversation) but not the man's face?

safe ship still has our deposit money weeks later now, even though we cancelled within 48 hours. stay away!!!!

Safe ship is a scam. They are the worst company I've done business with in any situation. Last minute up charges. They hired a terrible moving company to get out things packed and shipped. Their call center is literally set up to hang up after 2 hold cycles. I'm still waiting on my things and it's coming up on a month... NEVER USE THIS COMPANY IT IS A SCAM.

Thank you for this video! We are utterly disappointed and disgusted by Safe Ship Moving Services' appalling service. They lied to us, stole from us, delayed our delivery for 20 days, ignored our emails, and were so rude on the phone! They are liars and scammers! I'm sorry you had to go through that, too. I wish I had seen your video a month ago! 😞

Our daughter hired SS to move her things from her one-bedroom apartment. The movers kept texting her and changing the pick-up time. They finally showed up on day two at 7:30 pm. They immediately started telling her that they would be adding on charges for all sorts of things like more stairs, more distance from the parking lot, a larger couch, etc. She contacted us because she had already given SS a large downpayment and was expecting to pay only the amount she was quoted. They also wanted to charge her extra for delivering her things that night or for storage if they delivered the things the next day. What?! The movers had been working since 6 am that morning. They were going to move her items starting at 7:30 pm, pack the truck, drive almost two hours to her new location, and unpack and deliver her belongings in the middle of the night after working for nearly 20 hours. The fact that they would be driving their truck on the interstate after working for close to 18 hours seemed very shady to me. I spoke with the drivers and told them that all these extra charges were ridiculous & that our daughter's original quote should be honored. They tried to negotiate the extra charges with our daughter and meanwhile, we were looking online at the horrible reviews for SS. We had such a bad feeling about these movers, so we looked online to see if we could rent a Uhaul truck and move her ourselves. We rented a truck online, we asked our daughter to tell the movers to leave, shut and lock her door, and we would be there in the morning to move her. They kept texting her and asking her to let them move her. When we were moving her into her new place, I couldn't help but wonder how much more they would have extorted her for on that end of the move. It seems that SS purposely gets very vague information about the move for the quote so that the movers can then add on all sorts of extra charges. SS and their movers are all professional scammers! Most people are under a deadline when they are moving and they have no choice but to go along with these shysters and their outrageous charges. As for SS telling you that you set your move up at the last minute, they could have told you that they couldn't move you with such short notice! But noooo, they took your money and told you they would move you! Glad you ended up moving yourselves and saving money!! Did you end up getting your money back? We haven't heard from SS since we told their movers to leave four days ago. We are going to try to get her downpayment back. Wish us luck!

100% agree. Never, ever, under any circumstances, use Safe Ship Moving Services. They are deceptive and aggressive in their ploy to get you to sign with them and take your money. They are very clever and know how to word the Bill of Lading and contract. By the time the consumer figures out they've been lied to, it's too late. That's how they operate. Legitimate moving companies DO NOT operate in the same fashion. Avoid Safe Ship Moving Services!! Find another company and make sure you read everything before signing anything. Once I discovered Safe Ships Moving Services' deceptive tactics and read through the Bill of Lading very carefully, it was too late. Their Bill of Lading / Agreement is written to totally favor Safe Ship Moving Services and not the consumer. By signing, you are waving your rights as outlined by US Federal Laws that to protect you. They insert very specific language into the Bill of Lading that protects them against the very laws written to protect the consumer. Unless you know exactly what you're looking for, most people would miss it. I cannot emphasize this enough, Safe Ship Moving Services is not honest or have any integrity. They will pressure you, lie to you, deceive you, and never take accountability.

We have a restaurant in town that serves chicken peanut stew with rice or fufu. He makes the fufu similar to how Americans make mashed potatoes so that's exactly how it tastes. It's not flavorless the way he makes it. I eat a spoonful of the stew with fufu, I chew it, and it's freaking delicious. I don't know what "real fufu" is supposed to be like or taste like. For me it's a comfort food that I especially like when the weather is cold or rainy, if I feel like I'm coming down with something, or just need a comforting meal. The chicken peanut stew has a little heat to it that hits the spot when you don't feel good. He makes amazing ribs and grits too. His food is awesome.

Safe ship provides you with terms prior to your move and you clearly couldn’t afford this luxury service.I had a great experience with them and paid them 10k to move and pack my stuff. They are not a moving company, they are brokers and you didn’t have any understanding of that at all. 3k for them to pack all of that stuff and take it across state lines? 😂 I’d be embarrassed to make a video like this to the public.

i tried fufu for the first time yesterday, u got egusi, fried fish, and peanut butter soup from a west african restaurant. i loooooove it so much. soo good. i chewed the fufu LOL cuz i had no clue you're actually supposed to swallow it. hahaha i am def gonna swallow it next time i buy it which i well cuz its soooo good. love this video!

oh my god! I CANNOT THANK YOU GUYS ENOUGH. my husband was on the call with a guy named Nick. He gave him a quote. But husband didn’t make a decision without going through me. I’m Indian and I’ve seen and done bargaining. I asked Nick for discount and without much hesitation, the price went down by a $100. I thought ‘interesting. That’s not how bargains work…. That’s usually how scams work’ .. so while on the call, I googled up the company for reviews and I saw a few posts on Reddit alerting of their horrible customer service. So when he asked me to pay with a cheque, I told him I have a card. He IMMEDIATELY discounted the convenience fee , which was a BIG RED FLAG for me and shows desperation for me to make that payment. So I told him I have to speak to my husband before I make a payment to decide on what card to use. Right after that call, when I looked a little deeper online I came across this video. It’s safe to say that we’ve decided not to go with this moving company. Thank you

They are currently doing this with my stuff as well. It has been over a month and they keep giving me the run around and are constantly pushing the date back. They have everything I own and will not bring me my belongings. We have called them every single day and they keep pushing the date back with one excuse after another.

Thank you so much for posting about this and in great detail. My friend and I just hired Safe Ship to help us move from Brooklyn to Nashville and working with them was a complete nightmare. We also chose them because their quotes were way cheaper than the competition online. They skyrocketed our initial estimate by over $3000 (first estimate was from the initial call of ~$2600, then on a follow up call to add any additional items it jumped to ~$3400 and on day of the move after a physical inspection from the driver, it jumped to over ~$5700). Anyway, I can go on and on about my experience but I can confirm that they took absolutely no accountability, they pressured me to pay for more space on the truck which was unnecessary and their customer service was the worst I've ever encountered. If you are moving (ESPECIALLY to a different state), do yourself a huge favor and rent a U-Haul and drive the truck / do the move yourself. It may seem like a lot of money up front but Safe Ship Moving and all of these interstate moving companies are out to get you. They are fraudulent and want to take advantage of you and your money. So sorry to hear about your experience, it sounded awful and stressful. Good on you both for fighting for a refund, I'm fighting for mine back now. Hope that is all behind you now :)

Thank you both for the video! For me, I find it culturally disrespectful if you're going to try other food from different cultures and not even attempt to eat it their way first. It doesn't make sense to me to complain about it but say you want to enjoy it the way they do but then frown your face at the way they do it. I don't understand why so many people are complaining. I hope to have this soon and will definitely take your advice on how to properly eat it. ❤❤❤

My wife and I were working with safe ship moving services. We were expecting the movers to come in two days. We luckily caught these scammers just in time and just called and canceled. We previously called because things seemed sketchy and when asking questions, they put us on hold and hung up. Dirt bags.
