I love your taking the time to restore stuff I do it often myself but I try to keep everything i possibly can to original yes there Are time you have to change piece out where you absolutely have to but all the little rust spots that’s left specks in it I leave that I think it address character and the wooden handed I try to reuse the originals because want it like it was back then and did you do any research into the item you were doing to see the colors they came In and try to match that I Couldn’t tell with all the rust just wondering but it looks great or try welding or soldering or brazing some of those spots and grinding them down instead of bondo
