I see it's a textured wall. Did you not feel the need to sand it down before starting the project?

Nice video. Your neighbors ok with that saw going after dark? Lol. Btw, i am updating my garage with these since the old closetmaid shelf fell off the wall.

The weed eater and edger is such a great combo to have. Theyll do your whole regular block of land on one 6amp battery. The clip on hanging hook is very handy for the one your not using.

Nice video, but I have read and seen when gluing the table top, the clamps are supposed to alternate between over and under the wood parts. Also, I have read and seen that when arranging the table top, to make sure that the grains alternate between them, because it would avoid swelling of the wood. (Not sure if done that wa or not in your video). But for clarity, I am not a wood worker. I am just interested in the craft.

I am late to the party but this is one of the most satisfying videos I've watched in a while. I love ALL the design and patterns. Do you remember the widths of each strip? I loved the walnut-maple pattern with a strip of cherry in the middle. Well done

Often, when trimming hedges, if I hit a limb which is about the size of my little finger, it would jam my trimmer. I would wait a few minutes and it would work again. This last time, it won’t restart. It only clicks. Very disappointing as I loved the convenience and it worked good, when it worked.

I no longer use glue to attach cleats. Seems I frequently put them in the wrong place vertically and then can’t move them. You may want to relocate the tool holder in the future and want to move it up or down in relationship to the wall cleat.

Nice work! Im going to tackle this on my new home. Wouldn't it be easier to prime the walls and MDF before beginning and then touch up the primer where needed prior to paint?

I really enjoyed thus video, I like the simple lines. I picked up several helpful comments you made. Regarding the close up of you using the random orbital sander, it wasn't helpful and in fact the magnified close up movement was dizzying.

Excellent Video, and nice looking finished product. Question, the main 'maple' strips are 'Edge' grain, whereas the walnut thin strips are 'Face' grain, correct?

I recently used starbond to fill knot holes on an outdoor cedar farm table. In my experience when using cedar you don’t want to over fill the holes with glue. The knots are so hard compared to the wood that it created humps when I tried to sand the knots flush.

Mine quit working but it was a slow death. Sometimes I'd go to the shop and it would be running all by itself. I contacted wen and they told me that signals in the neighborhood are allowed to intwrfere with the remote. Wtf. At first it only worked intermittently and then the remote stopped working all together. The button on the unit does not power it on anymore. If you live in the cities, don't buy a wen. Wens solution was to unplug it and only plug it in when I need to use it. So I'd have to climb a ladder into the rafters to plug it in everytime. No thanks. Shop around for better products. Only had it a year or so.

Great video. Another useful recommendation: create smaller groupings of items, which enable you to create useful sets of easily portable “toolboxes” that you can shuttle between the wall and bench for common tasks. For example a glue+tape+glue spreader+…. Or a flush trim hand router + associated bits. Or small screw sets plus …

I had a model older than this one that I love. My sister has difficulty with tools that are too heavy and she actually loved mine and found it easy to use kzbin.infoUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG . This is a newer model but was even lighter which she really appreciates. She enjoys it and I no longer have to go to her house to trim as she can handle it fine. Haven't used it enough to comment on the battery life but lithium batteries last longer than the old style. Being cordless makes it easy to trim the far edges of the property. The entire yard can be trimmed with one charged battery.
