It would be interesting to have the a, b, c, d, e, f parameters cycling with SIN & COS around their initial value and use that to alternate between shapes. Though, I do believe the simulation will be a pain, no?

Pretty awesome tutorial here! I'm curious, would there be a way with dynamic painting to alter the noise texture to make it so the flow field would, let's say, go around an obstacle, like Suzannes Eyes for exemple. or if we'd want to make a river with that technique and have the flow go 'round a rock. Thanks for that tuts. Pretty great and easy to follow

I've never liked mathematics, but ever since I have dabbled in game development and blender, I have started to see math in a different light. This was the missing piece in math which I have always asked my teachers for years ("What would I use that formula for...") I have deep regret not becoming good with mathematics, but it is never too late. Sorry for boring degression, but I really like to learn both math using blender. Thank you and hope you can have more to come.

Thank you bro!! This is awesome. May I ask how did you come out with all of this information and knowledge? Do you a mathematician background or something? I'm curious bc not even by reading all the documentation I would have the logics to pull stuff like this in combination. I would love to know that. That you for sharing all of this! I'm getting your book as well

Thank you so much! Well, my bachelor was in Mathematics. However, basically 95% of my Geometry Nodes knowledge comes from practice, practice, practice... And watching a lot of Geometry Nodes and (Python) coding tutorials :)

Use name "velocity" is OK with EEVEE to show the velocity color, but not working with CYCLES, changed to "velocity1" , works both on EEVEE and CYCLES

Hey, does anyone else have a problem with their helmets? When he creates a Subdivision Surface, his helmet is smooth, while mine has holes and a few places are torn. Has anyone had a similar problem and solved it? If so, I would appreciate some advice.

I'm struggling to sharpen te edges using the bevels around 11:00. I'm always left with a small but noticeable rounded part at the corners, especially by the edges of the visor, I've adjusted some of the bevel settings, but I can't get rid of it, anyone have any advice?

one more amazing tutorial. i also bought your book and now geo nodes already make much more sense! one question though. the first nodes till attribute statistic and equal node, its like you replicate the geometry proximity? could we replace that with a geometry proximity node instead?

i would like to buy your book but you dont show enough of it. does it have examples of how to use them? for example which nodes to connect with which nodes for specific results?
@mtranimation21 күн бұрын
Hey! Thanks for the comment. I am indeed thinking that it would be handy to create a free example book. But to answer your question: yes! Many nodes have practical examples of how to use them and that way you learn with what nodes they can be implemented. If you have more questions feel free to ask :)
@ahingel21 күн бұрын
@@mtranimation thanx for the answer. i wanted to ask because i already have some knowledge of the geometry nodes and i dont know if i will be needed it. yes would be nice to show a couple examples of the inside so we can understand more what we get and if someone needs it.

Great tutorial! Is there a way you can switch the noise texture for an image texture so you can use a greyscale heightmap for the y values? I tried, but that doesn't seem to work because there is no UV-map for it (I guess)?

Mark sharp the edges you bevelled and Press N and set Edge weight to 1.00, and set bevel mod to weighted. Set geo to Arc not sharp in the first box and deselect clamp overlap. Amount of bevel .005 or what ever you like. Great vid by the way.

8:30 Take the value going to the From Max. On another thread put it into a Divide Node and divide by 6.283 (Tau or PI *2). Add that result to the value that went into the Divide node. Plug the Add node result into the To Max (on the Map Range). The To Max will always be slightly bigger than the From Max so you get a good petal alignment as the petal number is changed. Tau (6.283) is the number used to make circles.....
