NZT is a metaphor for caffeine. Same exact principle... you develop a dependency, you have to keep upping the dosage, and then you can't function without it.

If I left a comment last year I would have done what others seem to be saying. I changed my life. One year ago I was addicted to dopamine chasing. I had a job that I was only doing for the money, I felt like I reached the height of what I could accomplish and would be coasting from that point on. Boom I changed it all. Now I am pursuing my dreams, making double what I made last year, and pushing the envelope further each day. I’m winning and it can happen to anyone if they apply the holy trinity to their life. This is real stuff, it comes from so many different sources. Places like this one here, it comes from mentors, it comes from many people you meet in your life, from many decisions you can make every single day. It all is right there in front of you, all you have to do is reach out and take it. Control, personal power, destiny. It’s all there, and it’s only there for you. This an individual battle, no one else has anything to do with it. The only enemy is you, the only hero is you. That’s the secret. Life is a game and you need to play it to win it. And you will win it completely if you actualize everything you believe in. Go ahead, decide what to be and go be it. It’s done.

Practice 'acting as if' until you become. I highly recommend The Alter Ego Effect. It's easy to understand and implement. You may well get instant results and even if you have to play with it for a while, it will be an enjoyable, fulfilling journey.

Thanks for the great video... when I saw Limitless it definitely prompted some similar thoughts which were very helpful for making sense of my life. I do want point one thing out: when you were talking about the cliff dive, I think you meant Kierkegaard's Leap of Faith instead of attributing it Heidegger, who I don't believe (?) ever wrote on that topic.

Yeah, but you can be like that everyday. You don't need a pill or unrealistic effort to be like this. The push back from people being like this is the way people think about it (i.e., the behavior.) Putting it on rank or scale, and for some reason, behaviors like this character is experiencing after taking the pill-- is seen as almost "god-like." And it's not. Thinking of it as "god-like" I think is was prevents people from actually achieving this way of living. Personally, to me.

His Grand Plan? It's there, you just have to see it. While standing on the cliff he asked'"Has anyone ever jumped?" The response to his question was ,"Are you crazy?" People have thought about a Utopian society but no one has made the jump. His dream of a Utopian society was going to be just a book, science fiction maybe, but now he plans to make the society a reality. That's why he is running for office. He is the man we would want to have ZT-48. He is not being selfish with it. He is creating a better world for us all.

Very inspiring video as always! Thank you so much. I'm struggling this year with a violent and cruel trauma that left me completely out of control of my life, and there are so many things I wish to fix and achieve that it actually paralysis me instead of motivate me. I just turned 27, thinking I will only live to 30 gives a sense of good urgency where it's like "now or never"

@@kriptokirios4841 I’m feel for you. Trauma is something I’ve experienced and am actively researching and dealing with. Hang in there and I’ll have some insights soon. great video as usual though I think I disagree with the premise of this one. Instead of using the fear of imminent destruction or regret as a way to supersede the emotions keeping one stuck, it may be better to accept the inevitability of negative emotions and cease to attempt to avoid them. Then, someone can live intuitively not through the fear of a greater evil if they don't but through the realization that the decision to cling to comfort and security vs. accepting fear and risk isn't really the decision they have to make at all because the expectation of future emotions isn't the deciding factor anymore.
@NonOrdinarie3 ай бұрын
Well written response… this is why I love philosophy: there are so many different approaches. The mindset you lay out seems more eastern and this video is taking a more modern/ western approach. I think there are benefits and pitfalls to both ways of thinking. In the end we all need to decide for ourselves what actually works in our day to day life. Thanks for watching.

I love the movie but I don't like how the hype is used. It's just fiction, the movie is not even coherent because otherwise there is no action or plot. The guy remains stupid, so the movie can happen. Kind of simple, you are so smart, don't ask the mob for a loan, you have your rich friends, easy legal bad loans, a normal bank, whatever, you just trade patiently and wait a bit more until the amount of money is big enough. Even if you ask money to a Russian gangster, you don't forget to pay once you are earning all that money... As I've said, just fiction, a good way to create a nice story.
