I cook flats mostly. Learned to put in pan just as soon as bark sets. Stays moist. Plus overnight in 150 degree electric masterbult. Add a little moisture Or GOOD BULLION. MAINTAINS MOISTURE BETTER. that looks good. Good job👍. Hungry watching😊

2:56 - Appreciate this nice walkthrough. I'm interested in this grill. For tri-tip, curious why you don't have the charcoal grate on its highest level setting for the direct/sear cooking? My Akorn Chargriller had an adjustable grate to raise it and lower it for sear + indirect cooking. But I understand the Summit doesn't have that capability. It's one or the other for the grate setting on the Summit.

Gonna have to get one of these for my Traeger. I have so say, it’s a little annoying that you need to use one in the first place with the pellet smokers. But it’s never generated enough smoke on its own for my liking.

Great review, even though I don’t have one I think the Weber 26in kettle with a slow n sear is hands down the best deal out there. I personally have a pk360 and love it.

These ribs look incredible. I like your keep it simple motto. Might try the half and half apple juice and bourbon which sounds great. How long did it take to cook these ribs? Edit: nvm as soon as I submitted my comment you said “after 4 hours” lol. Great vid!

Just go with it like I do and adjust accordingly to the outside conditions. I always shot for a temp somewhere between 225 and 275 but it doesn’t always work that way. Have fun with it and do your best, remember it’s backyard bbq not a competition

If you’re looking at them now in stores you’re probably looking at the onyx edition that’s why they’re black now. The copper was the original Classic sold at Walmart a few years back now. I’ve had mine for about 6 years now
