It seems crazy to me that this awesome background lore is basically totally ignored by 5e adventures. It took me doing my own research to realize that all of my players in PotA would have lived through the Second Sundering, experiencing the convergence of worlds and the wild blue fire magic, and my elven player, despite barely being a young adult, was old enough to remember the Time of Troubles. Wild to imagine an old elf who has lived through the entire recent history of chaos caused by the gods.

I see where you're home with this well. Instead of one item you could have them half to split up and maybe I don't know suggest to each 1 of them. Choosing a different location to start. And I know that's hard to keep track of you're gonna need a really good. A few hand of books like the really cheap dollar books that you can write in notes. Each player gets to start in key locations. They get the background stories of those killer locations of each one has a unique story to tell to the other character granted. Your players are gonna not, but the characters won'then I have them explore. These locations on information provided from each of the starting locations to sidequests do so many. Request not necessarily actually I question a true sidequest. Just little things to do. There's actually some sites now that I actually help with this with homebrew. Don't know that I want to use the word sanctuary, but, you can build a home as it were a location which wants to want to read so certain size. You can actually make your own pocket dimension and I know that's going off track here but I don't know. I'm concerned looking into that stuff. Buy a home your character could buy home. Rent a hotel whatever in those key locations they each start instead of always giving them options. Sometimes have them roll for it. Pick numbers and whatever number they lay and on. Are the x numbers you picked? Determining where they might land or where they start. Yeah, giving them the choice. Sometimes it's okay, but if you really want to touch all of the map. I recommend putting them locations that actually fit their character already pre. Belt, so this would be there to be a ladder game. Not a starter game. This is something where you go. I don't. Know, after you've leveled up and kind of filled in your character. Of it and you know, you've got some background story and you've felt out how the person is betraying their character. High elf snooty obnoxious and thinks they're better than everyone else. Well, they're gonna be wanting to golden whatever you call it. It's dwarfs love to get in the grid, so put them in a location where they're gonna have a lot of work. Maybe a lot battling. They can hit on or whatever suits their fancy and whatever other species. Your charactewhich is a new term. I learned for DND it's not a new term. I learned in life period but. I digress, is there 3 locations? Then you want each character to be in a location? They're most likely going to go to, so you kind of want your characters to already have background. You want them to already? Have established conquest. That these people probably never heard of but we'll still say they have established a build characteristics. Abilities stuff that you the DM can base on. Then you don't have to worry about missing out. On 80% you can have them do all 100%. As long as you they're interested and you're intereswell. I could see this going a lot further than what it was meant to start out as I definitely the idea where you can home bro but also You could tag in that there's more than one item. But they're only told about the one items each area. They have to go to seen how they already started in the separate citbecause of one choice or another, either you chose them quest storylines that take them out to those different locations covering. Every fasten and this is a lot to keep a track of this would be more of an advanced d.N d play

I like we're gone home burn. I would suggest taking some of the books that have end online stuff. Things you've done in other cities if you really want to set up a background in the locations that aren't really mentioned that were just filler. That way, if your characters do happen to wanna I've been doing a yellow, not exactly head back right away. But. Do little side stuff. Oh I wanna go to never winter. Get a book I'll never wonder establish timelime arrange for that timelime as side notes. So that that way, they don't do questions that aren't in existence per se. And give them a little something to do. Add a Marget. Everyone wants to be able to buy stuff. We have a sink pet somewhere. And I'm gonna throw that money. Once you reach a certain level in certain status in that game. You have so much money you don't even know what to do with it. Maybe you can rent an apartment. Maybe you can rent a hotel or maybe you can. I don't know gamble and whatever else. Distractions or like in the Bethesda way to go about it. Side quest which make you more money, but still little distractions here and there. If you want them if your players want them because you gotta be careful with the right that cause that can be the bright right there. I like where your mind's going home. Brewing is always a fun way to go. You don't always have to humble everything. You can always fill in the blanks with pre. Existing information about each location. I have no doubt my mind. If there hasn't been already, there will be a book for places like neverwinter or other locations that are mentioned on the map, but you don't normally go there because. In our current campaign, Cronus exists and was freed from his prison because the BBEG wants to kill the gods. Our goal is to stop him from killing all the gods, tho after a year or 2 of him being free now, there are only 5 left in total. We also have prismatic dragons in our world as well. The only one capable of fighting them off was Cronus in the past, and in order to even damage them, you need what is called a prismatic soul, which is something that the prismatic dragons can gift to you if they deem you worthy. In our lore, we have another "plane" that exists beyond the reaches of the outer planes, known as the Darkness. The Darkness is the space between universes, the birth place of the Cthulu Mythos elditch horrors, and it is said that if you can navigate your way through the Darkness without getting lost, you can end up entering an alternate universe. However, getting lost is a sentence to eternal life without sensation, as there is no light, no molecules to feel, nothing, just pure void. And we learned that the prismatic dragons, after being wounded by Cronus, fled into the Darkness and reside there now. Part of the trial of defeating Cronus is that we must become strong enough to navigate the Darkness to find the prismatic dragons, challenge them so that we may prove our worthiness, and then they will grant us prismatic souls so that we can go back and fight Cronus
