"Clan Duergar lives! Three cheers for every clan! Three cheers!" the disembodied voices of dozens of children yelled & cheered. For some the sound of their parents & families can be heard gathering their lot to them. The laughter causing genuine healing energy to encompass you all. The full plate, full helm & hooded robes that cover this wonder of magic & miracle seems to vibrate ever so often. You notice without seeing it quite readily. It is alarming.

Honestly, I don't really think so. The production rate of a dwarf breeding program would be extreme small. But the dwarf slaves produced by the breeding program would live almost 4x as long as a human slave would. Once the slaves will is broken and their rebellious nature is stamped out and crushed. The dwarven slave would be more valuable than the human one, they're shorter which means they travel slower and they can get into smaller spaces which will help them work and help maintain security and suppression over the slave population. They're stronger than humans which makes them better for physical labor, but their age is their most valuable component, if the slave labor isn't dumb labor but a skilled labor, a dwarven slave can acrew significantly more than 4x the knowledge and skill over their lifetime compared to a human slave. I didn't really expect i'd ever do a evaluation on the eugenics evaluation on the dwarven slave population yikes lol.

@@dominusbalial835 Tell me about it. But when I think of a Mindflayer's "version" of a dwarf breeding program probably involves something more akin to a dairy farm, suction tubes and pens.

I believe in "Elder Evils" (3.5e) it was also written that the Imaskari in fact started the war against the gods, although somewhat "by accident". They were afraid when the Egyptian and Sumerian gods arrived, but instead of yielding to them, they searched for a way to defeat or overpower them and discovered another reality where they found a being of enough power to destroy these gods. They contacted the being and asked for it to fight the gods, and the being willingly accepted, thrilled by the idea of slaying gods. When they summoned the being, it had no ill will or reason to distrust them, and so they altered their summonings to rupture spirit from body, as they knew it was far too powerful to ever be contained whole. They sealed both spirit and body away to have it stored as a doomsday weapon, so to speak, and then boasted to the gods about their weapon capable of destroying them. I believe the Imaskari sought to bend the gods to their will, or at the very least make them go back where they came from. The gods reacted instantly and razed the Imaskari empire to the ground. The reason they destroyed Imaskar so thoroughly was only partially because they wanted to help their people, but mostly because they were so fucking afraid of THAT THING. The Imaskari never got to reunite the spirit and body of said being as they were taken by surprise. So the being, still separated, is still imprisoned to this day, and it is really, really bored. It tries to lash out to people to free it, but its mind is simply too strong and those it can reach normally die very soon. That´s a good thing, however. Since it loves honoring its pact and is also still thrilled by the idea of killing gods, freeing this thing and reuniting spirit and body would likely end the multiverse, or at least kill the gods as we know them. Because yes, the Imaskari wizards were not stupid. This thing WAS powerful enough to commit mass deicide, and it still is.

@@idiom2805 The whole "thing" of Mulhorandi and Untheric pantheons was, that they physically came to Faerun, in their true forms. That's why some of them were killed during the Orcagate Wars. Mulhorandian and Untheric nobles are to this day often assimairs, because their gods like to reward their followers with their "divine essence" quire frequently. Until the Time of Troubles Mulhorand was ruled by the incarnation of their dieties - it can be roughly summarized as a inheritable chosen-hood; portion of the divine power lived as a human chosen and then jumped onto next one in line. That garbage movie "Gods of Egypt" from 2016 is literally Mulhorand in Forgotten Realms

Damn! The Spawn Wars excerpt sounds more like something straight out of a sci-fi novel rather than lore for an rpg's high fantasy/epic fantasy world. Also, I don't have any hard evidence, but I can't help but see Dave Faloni being inspired by the Spawn Wars when writing for _Star Wars: The Clone Wars_.

Seems like there were a lot of wars defining the history of this land and very little of else. I wish writers would also write about great engineering achievements, construction projects and other creative events from the times of peace, but i guess the target audience would not like that very much. I also thank you for finding all these amazzing images to bring color in your videos and stir the imagination. I have parteken in a few of them myself. NGL one of my favorite fanfictions is a crossover with Buffy the Vampire Slayer and involves that Imaskari slavery story, by basically taking the existence of all the old Earth mythic gods being in the Planescape setting and that enslavement story as a springboard and saying that as they left the Earth, the host of old gods locked it down with some old Wind Dukes of Aaqa left to "hold the fort" until their return, but the minders decided they liked being in charge and hid/warded the entire planet from their former masters, and it takes a member of the Imaskari invasion force who had gone into hiding and somehow reset herself into childhood at least once invoking the Silver Fire of Mystril and thusly getting in touch with Mystra, who then nicely asks Gaia for permission to move in and become our new Goddess of Magic, for the seals to finally break... and Gaia is not amused with the negligence of the old gods, especially since the Nine Hells have been infiltrating and causing mischief, and basically spanks any old god who wants to come back, forcing them to take on forms from modern pop culture (Loki has to take on his Marvel incarnation, Athena has to become an anime character, Raijin has to become Raiden, etc). The fanfic is titled, "I, Buffy, Adventuress" and sadly is incomplete and seeming abandoned, right after a reveal that Primus had secretly achieved a foothold on Earth by having a Modron who had been a part of that old invasion force (who was also left on Earth) basically create androids named the Autobots who apparently created the Transformers franchise in the fanfic's version of Earth as a means of setting up a panic button so that, if the Baatezu started a power move to absorb all the souls on Earth, they could swoop in and snag a huge chunk to take to Primus instead. The fanfic diverges from Buffy the Vampire Slayer in the episode Anne at the start of Season 3, with the hell dimension he enters having spined and bearded devils with a horned devil commander who manage to overpower and imprison her for a bit, and she's later rescued by an adventuring party and reincarnated (cause her body is basically done for by that point), becoming an elf.

Is there any book you would recommend to learn more about the history of dwarves? Anything you used to research for this video? Great job by the way

Hey, MrRhexx. Where die you get all these historic maps of this Series? I mean the ones like the Imaskar Empire, the second and fourth crown wars and the Days of Thunder.

Lots of parallels between Duergar and Chaos Dwarves.

You failed to mention the Yehimal_Mountains (look on the wiki). The enslavement of the dwarves by the giants (especially the influence of the fire giants), back when the elves were under the dragons thumbs. How Faerüin got its name. Your video is very limited on dwarves for that title.

If you want to use the Deep Spawn for . . . either creating a clone army or other nefarious reasons. Maybe you just wanna kill them, there's a series of books on DMsguild that has them - Monster Manual Expanded 1-3. I think they're in book 3. They've also gotten sick art!

In RA Salvatore novels drow use “darthiir” = 💩 for surface elves/non-drow, so the darthiir wood means 💩 🪵 😂
