This video review of Bjorn Borg's stellar pro tennis career is flawed because it was not McEnroe's starting to overtake Borg as the best male tennis player in the world which led to Borg essentially quitting tennis after the loss to McEnroe in the 1981 U.S. Open final. It was rather that Borg was sick and tired of all the extra things a pro player has to do in order to maintain a top-level pro tennis career including off-court physical fitness training, attending sponsors' parties, attending news conferences, giving individual interviews to journalists, traveling from city to city, hotel to hotel, and country to country! It was all of those extra things that Borg was fed-up with having to do! Borg's ex-wife Mariana Simonescu Borg stated that the first time Borg ever mentioned quitting pro tennis was during the summer of 1989 which was Borg's mist dominant and successful season in terms of number of singles matches and tournaments won! This videoclip also fails to mention Borg's alleged suicide attempt in 1989 when he had to go to the hospital because he had allegedly taken too many sleeping pills and allegedly had to have his stomach pumped according to the author Lars Skarke's book, "Bjorn Borg The Winner Loses All". When the author of that book on Borg called Borg's parents house or apartment when Borg was taken to the hospital in Milan, italy and spoke to Borg's mother on the phone and asked her, "Doesn't Bjorn want to live?" And the author claimed that his mother said "No"! That author also claimed that Borg had a substance abuse problem!

He needs a good coach. I see that he's still quite relaxed at some parts in the games. He needs to be more aggressive.

His backhand was a superlative shot; unfortunately, he had an average forehand and a below average serve. The serve and forehand are the two most important shots in the pro game, so Richard was playing with a huge disadvantage. He simply did not get that many free points off his serve, which forced him to grind out most of his points with long rallies punctuated with brilliant backhand winners. Federer, Nadal and Djokovic all won a lot more points off their serves than Gasquet did, and they all had better forehands, too. If Gasquet had had an average backhand he would have probably never gotten out beyond the Challenger level. That's how good his backhand was. Gasquet did have a good net game, though. He frequently came to net where he had excellent volleys and overhead. This probably made grass his best surface. His sliced serve stayed low and had good penetration on grass, so it was not the liability it was on hardcourts.

I like his forehand more than Alcaraz and Sinner's. Alcaraz looks like he is forcing it and has had to wear a tell-tale sleeve in the past, and Sinner's elbow is bent so much like Djokovic's. It is hard to find one as good as Tsitsi's

Superior technique, inferior motivation. Unlike most champions the Swede didn't play for the record books. E.G., Ledl did everything he could to try to win Wimbledon. You can't say that about Borg and the U.S. Open. He retired while he still had chances. He was like the 'A' student who didn't have to try for good grades and got bored with school.

Magic Borg was the godfather of topspin tennis. Later with new racket technology and volley power, tennis became to fast for his kind of tennis philosophy.

Borg the godfather of topspin. Later with new racket technology, modern tennis became faster, which he couldn't deal with his wooden rackets. His comeback unfortunately turned into a desaster. Later there were rumours about his alcohol an drug abuse. Sad story... 😢

Cmon Nick take off the mask! You prepared this video with great hateful feelings! What a joke! Sinner has had one of the greatest seasons of this sport overall and there is zero reason to compare him to the big three at this early stage of his career, it seems you are just an hater. Get better information above all on this matter and especially what is coming out from the Wada just these days, stating that from 2027 the cases like Jannik and iga will be clearly excluded from any controversy. Btw, you are really a joke Nick.

No problem with you being a Novak Djokovic mark, I got all the time in the world for the guy, especially after his stance during Covid. But depicting Jannik Sinner as a loser in this year is either elite trolling/fishing on your part, or extreme delusion. I'm guessing it's the former in this case, so well played, you got me

Sinner is the biggest winner, Popyrin is a winner (going by one of the biggest improvements other than Draper) and Fritz has to be a winner. Ruud also has to be a loser this year sadly.
