Hi there I have a 440f skandic and can't figure out how to take the clutch out it's free from the shaft but can't get it out do I need to take out the plastic air vent ??? How to you do it
@RYANHODGE100

I think you have to unbolt a bracket holding the belly pan, then you can bend the belly pan out mastic away from the clutch and yank it out past the crank.

@magicmilkbotlle7517 7 ай бұрын
Either the vent or there is two 10mm bolt on the bolting the side of the belly pan to the frame and you can pull it back quite a ways. For the primary that the only way I could sneak it out

Try the cdi. If it doesn’t fix it you’ll have one as a spare, the cdi goes eventually.

I would throw new plugs in it, and cut back the plug wires to fresh copper to see if that makes the spark stronger.

Excellent summary. My Freestyle Backcountry was same pains, but no spark issues fortunately. It's in the BRP shop now and I was leaning toward having them replace both voltage reg and stator, assuming they'll say one or both was hurting. I use mine for work, so the wrenching and parts is a tax write off. Good for you to dig in and push through the wrenching yourself.

I've got 07 Freestyle Backcountry and replaced CDI/ control module after kill switches wouldn't work and now I'm burning bulbs and having same warning lights coming on speedo. I've heard CDIs from factory can suck. Did you get yours figured out - hope so? Thanks for doing the vids.

where does that voltage go when it acts up? stators can get funky at diff temps
@RYANHODGE100
@RYANHODGE100 3 жыл бұрын
So I monitored it when it was acting up. Voltage drops. It would hold steady at idle and even revving, around 14.30 When it was acting up at first it dropped to 14.20, then got it home and it was holding steady at 14.15 acting up, and holding there at idle or revving.
