2008 skidoo skandic 550f electrical issue

This skidoo has an intermittent spark issue.
Runs fine for abit the dash lights I’ll stay on, speedometer will stick, odometer will fade if I rev up from idle, if it continues to run like this it will lose spark.

hey Ryan, did you end up fixing the problem on your Skandic 550f if so what it was? was it stator? i have same problem with mine. let me know what the issue was.. thanks

honestly this would have to be stator/voltage regulatior issue. Stators act up all the time when they get hot.

Did you happen to find the problem, what was it, I’m have the same issue with mine.

If you have no headlights, change the bulbs. Make sure you have a good battery, and that it is getting a charge

After that fails, CDI

Batteries is strong at 12.8 , while idling 14.8. Did have new bulbs , both burnt out within 15 minutes of each other. I’ll try a new CDI

@@roberttompkins3292 they aren’t cheap, but having a spare is really good, I read a lot that they fail.
