The arrogance of Christianity, as practiced in the US in particular, lends itself to the arrogance that creates the need to create conflict. I grew up in a fundamentalist dominated culture, and have experience with people who engage with others in the way that you do, and it has done nothing but strengthen my resolve that you and your relilgion have nothing to offer people who are hurting. Chirstianity, as practiced by the great majority of US denominations is a cult. Modern US Christianity is filled with hypocrites denouncing others in an effort to shame people into following their cult. You have massive numbers of people following a presidential candidate, who is the anthesis of the words Jesus himself spoke. I'm a Christian, but not in a way that many Christians would recognize. I quit caring about that, because I moved away from a fundamentalist culture. There is little to no value in that culture, because it's a cult. I'm a cyclist and watch your videos on occasion, and haven't subscribed because of the way you talk about other racers, who are just out there riding their bike like you. You don't see the chip on your shoulder, nor seem to understand the motivations that most times creates the need to be boastful and derisive of others. The way many practice Christianity in the US allows this belief that you are in an exalted position, with the ability to speak down to others who are not part of your cult. You;'re just another person using oxygen as fuel, who will die like we all will, and pass on to something that none of us have any evidence exists, and if it does exist, what it is. You think you know, but you don't. None of us do. Talk your shit, have your bible study, think it's your job judge that people who don't believe the way you believe are "lost," do all that instead of just creating relathinships with people and doing good things for their own sake. Everybody sees the bible you have behind your back, and the contrived dialogue you create in order to pull that bible out and beat people with it. They also see you talking shit, which I assure you, turns people away (righfully and thankfully so) from your "message."

@DrewDillmanChannel. I want to share my personal view on this subject with you. Let’s examine what we know and then reexamine your question. This world has been given to Yahweh’s adversary until His Son, Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ, returns. There is a Satanic lullaby over this world, which most people live under who do not have the Holy Spirit dwelling within them. Even then, it is still a daily struggle to overcome its influence. As followers of Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ, we are no longer earth-dwellers but are occupiers behind enemy lines. Our citizenship is in Heaven and not in this world. This perspective should change our perception of the world around us. Matthew 7:21: “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven. Now, I am not saying that we should have a works-based faith. Jesus of Nazareth the Christ has done it all for us on the cross. But the Holy Spirit working through us should reflect the will of Yahweh. Paul addresses these issues in the Book of Galatians 5:22-26, Colossians 4:6, and Romans 8:5-14. We are not to live from the flesh but the Spirit, which now dwells within us. I will have to side with your wife, whom the Lord has given you, to keep you on the right path. Trash talk is not something a bible believing follower of Jesus of Nazareth the Christ should engage in. In closing, remember the warning Jesus of Nazareth the Christ gave us as recorded in Matthew 7:13-14: “Enter through the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who go through it. 14 How narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life, and few find it. I wanted to share this and give you another perspective to consider. It is not as fun, but it is hopefully more biblical.

I think you are fine the way you are , the issue is I have been watching you long enough to know you a bit , so I know you are joking. However, if someone is just joining they are not going to take it as a joke . So probably tone it down a bit , but please don’t stop. I like it . 😂😃🚵‍♀️

James 1:26 If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless. Ephesians 5:4 Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving. Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.

If you have to explain your position then you aren't communicating your message how you think. If you've left it up to the listener then so be it. But don't explain. By explaining you are introducing another confusing layer ie digging a bigger hole. Just be you. Be the person you want to be. Always.

Good to hear Drew - hard at times, I have the same issue, to separate what is meant in fun as can't always know how others take things - so often we have to just seek to be careful. Even more - thanks for going back to the Word for your answers and good to know there are others out there that do so.

Here is the issue with this video. You say people that don’t follow your religion are sinning. Nevermind the topic of questioning trash talking as being sinful or not. The far bigger problem here is this mentality of your way and your god as being the only way to be a good person and live life. It is narcissistic to believe it is your duty to save everyone else who does not see the world the same way you need to.

I haven't been following your "controversy" closely, but I am aware that you got VC all rankled up...but to be fair, his shtick is to make himself a target....for himself, and he's a bit sensitive when others make him their target. the thing about pro wrestling is that everyone is playing the same trash talk game and they know it. in other sports like gravel, everyone is not playing the game, so when 1-2 people are, and everyone else isn't the "game" concept is kind of lost. wrestling beefs are all scripted and agreed in advance, so everyone knows what to expect. I am not suggesting you write scripts in advance, but you do need to know who is playing your game and who isn't. and some people don't like beefs...eg last year when Norcal was mixing it up with Cory Williams....lets just say the Williams' bros don't appreciate a beef that they are not scripting themselves. cycling has lots of opps to trash talk. cycling has lots of insecure personalities. sooo, eyes wide open...

I haven't seen any comments from you that I thought were straying over the line into nastiness. Personally (and this is a comment from a non-believer who respects you and is here watching your video sharing your thoughts on the Bible) I try to help everyone I meet to get better at whatever they are trying to do, so when I see someone do a thing where I think "oh brother why did you do that" I try to put enough kindness into it that what I say is hard to interpret as unkind, and when I fail, I want to make my apology unconditional. I don't say "sorry to anyone who may have been offended" instead I say "I'm sorry for the hurt I caused" and if they want to tell me it's no big deal, great, that's forgiveness. Apologies are free when you release yourself from pride, and sometimes I have to reflect a bit in order to do that. I start with the assumption that my intent wasn't perceived in the way I had hoped because I failed to communicate it properly.

It probably just hits the “uninitiated” out of left field at times. That all said, love your transparency and humility here. Also, you missed another important reference from The Roots : “The Devil want me as is, but God he want more” from their song “Walk Alone” so good :)

Self reflection is what makes your good, being self aware of the things you do is what many lack. If you do so without malicious intent than be good.
