Finally! I am happy to see this resource in place and a good tutorial. This resource will be very useful! I've checked the Portuguese, Spanish, and French versions. The voices sound artificial, probably to ensure clarity. However, most of the content we consume, especially those we may be willing to translate, tends to be less formal. The dub audio ends up sounding like an advertisement, lol. But still, useful. I am pretty sure new versions will come with more voice/tone options.

Thanks for dropping a comment. I also think it'll keep getting better. The NotebookLM podcast voices are also pretty good now, so once tonality is matched and they use the more natural sounding delivery, it's going to be close. I don't think they should try to match lip movement like CapCut and HeyGen, there's a lot that goes wrong with those.

It can work over wireless, USB, or HDMI with capture card into OBS. Note that audio sync will be different for each, so you'll need to configure audio delay in OBS depending on how you use it. I have a video on that, too: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rn6ak32Hl5ilgZI

Thanks for the review, Jeremy. Am I correct in assuming that you can't achieve a background blur with this camera? I need a simple setup for video calls + recording 4k videos, but I want that low f stop.

That's right. You'd need to do that using software unfortunately. The only real way to get a decent level of background blur naturally is by using a proper APS-C camera with f1.8 or lower aperture lens. Even the Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra with f1.7 on it's "big for a webcam" 1/1.2" sensor has minimal bokeh effect unless your room depth is more than 20 feet or 6 meters.

There's nothing you need to do to request it and it's enabled by default in your channel's advanced settings. When it's available in your KZbin Studio, it will appear as a notification on top of your dashboard view. Then you'll see it in the languages page, too.

I've been using this for travel and impromptu webcam. First in Chicago in November for a conference, then for the last 2+ weeks in Australia. I brought this and the DJI Pocket 3, but kept grabbing the PowerShot V10 when they literally are sitting next to each other every morning as I head out. It's just a little faster to start filming and more convenient. Footage is pretty good, too, but I do suspect the DJI can produce a slightly better image.

@@DeployJeremy Agreed on DJI producing a better image, but definitely not enough so to pass on the fun and ease of the v10. I had been using a DJI action 4 for quick on the go videos, but the v10 has me considering selling the action 4. I just enjoy everything about it.

@@collijeI thought I put it on the description. Note that the V10 is a bit top heavy, so the linked Mokose mount works, but I secured the cable on the back of my monitor with tape to prevent it from falling forward.

@@litengmusic it works as a UVC camera, so if your (Android) phone supports external camera, it should work. I haven't tested this though and I don't believe any Apple devices aside from Mac would work.

Does this issue happen in all camera apps? If so, I'd try to update the camera firmware first. Then I'd check to see if your USB port or bus is oversaturated second. Do you know the USB spec or port bandwidth and if you connected other peripherals to it? This camera works with the native UVC drivers in Windows, Mac or Linux, so if other apps have this issue and you have enough bandwidth left on your USB port, then the hardware is likely the issue.

I do not like the robotic voice. I very often switch to the original voice. I think if it still sounds like this now, I will learn more languages to avoid the robotic voice as possible. I think they should add multiple languages for one language e.g. like you speak in english and german in one auditrack. this can be extended to more languages.

Bewildering test and bewildering replies to it. The sound of the Lark is pretty obviously coming in hot - ie. oversaturated and on the verge of distortion. You don't seem to hear it, and many other repliers don't seem to either. The DJI sounds much more natural. I can only assume that you have the Lark's receiver amp set to three (max) out of three. With respect, I'd suggest that you redo the test with the Lark set to one or two, and see if there's a difference. Thanks for the video.

Only the TRS receiver has a gain knob. I used USB-C. I set levels in OBS mid-yellow peak like I always do. You must be on some bewildering headphones to hear clipping.

@@DeployJeremy I didn't hear clipping. As I said, I heard oversaturation, as in an amp being overdriven but not quite to the point of obvious distortion. This typically results in a rough, unprofessional sound. I'd guess that the issue arises from the RX amp being set too high rather than anything to do with your OBS setup. But hey, if it works for you, then fine.

Thanks for the comparison. The Lark M2 sounds crisper and brighter. Good baseline to do any post work. The DJI sounds good but surely a touch bass boosted.

i use the sony a5100 through a usb cord and it looks 10x better than this. idk if you messed up some settings or the youtube compression ruined the video output or your capture card is garbage or its a combination of things, because this video quality is ass.

Opus drops (or dropped at the time) the vertical resolution to 720p when it modifies the long video into shorts. That's probably it.

It's rolling out now. I don't know exactly when it will arrive to your channel. I don't work for KZbin, but do have experience with massive global cloud services rollouts. They can take a month sometimes if the feedback and bugs are minimal, but the holiday timing adds 1-2 weeks to a rollout like this in my experience.

Il y a une voix très robotique, et quant il y a une autre langue que celle d'origine, il n'y a pas de doublage, et il n'y a pas de son tout simplement. Mais C'est une V1, et c'est gratuit, donc c'est déjà incroyable ce qui est proposé !

I bought one. I have the mini, the hollyland, the Neewer, the comica....yes, I know. I'm a mic geek. I love these little mics and here's the real lowdown: they ALL sound and work great so buy the CHEAPEST ONE that meets your needs. You won't be disappointed.

Mostly. My experience is that you need to spend at least $50 (I also have about half a dozen of these). The Ulanzi J12 and all the others that use those internals for internal radio and DAC aren't good
