Pivoting on ball foot is very overrated in all type of kicks, i feel like is a trick of mobility rather than power

Are the toenails touching the target/pad? (I mean the nailplate) I’m a beginner and it seems I’ve had my toenail hit the pad too many times when doing this kick and it’s really painful now and even feels loose, I’m afraid if it gets any more touches it’s gonna fall off 😩

This is not a propper (efficient) warmup as such; strongly recomend a mobility pre warmup at least before click play to this excellent conditioning drill for warmup....or try it as good finisher for your session......anyways....the exercise combination are great.

started Muay thai and I wondered why I get off balance and I have a hard time with my hip rotation. Turns out it was the step in that I was getting wrong. He's right, get the first part wrong and the entire kick is just weird, off balance, and vulnerable. Great tutorial mate

Its all how you manipulate your whole body with the kick, pivoting is extremely effective for transferring power, if you know how to properly swing your hips, and more importantly where you position the leg thats not kicking and stabilizing you. Where you position the leg thats not kicking during the kick is the most important. Depending where that leg is will determine how much weight is behind the kick.

Excellent tutorial except the big arm setup. It is not mandatory and does add some risk by compromising defense.

it cross blocks as your opposite arm pulls, it's a natural movement that happens as you step and rotate used by every top femur. What do you see as the alternative? If you glue the hand up, it'll simply blind you and limit the follow-through on the kick.

I naturally did it this way and thought it was wrong trying to forcefully pivot but thankfully I was doing it right
