Ты не пробовал ацетоновую баню для повышения прозрачности? Как думаешь, это даст результат?

Guys, it's still a budget solution compared to what you can buy!

What is up with Prusa??? I'd love to buy the European brand over China, but they seem to have no answer whatsoever to Bambu Labs. There is no way they aren't losing market share big time at this point. Maybe the dude made his money and no longer cares about his company. I'd think they'd come up with something to compare to the X1 or P1S.

Are you still using your Mendel90? I own such too and would revoke and upgrade this printer.

I am one of the few who has 3D printed (I own two 3D printers), but never used a glue gun.

I've been talking about this since 2015. Everyone called me an idiot. Apparently people would listen to e-celebs, but listening to common sense is not a thing.

we utilize sinker EDMs commercially for med device manufacturing. super cool to see the tech making its way to the hobbyist scene!

I'm sending Joe a few filament samples this week. He's got such a backlog, so no idea when he'll get to them.😅

I had a Hemera running on my Ender 3 and was blown away as to how powerful that thing was. There were a couple of times where the filament tangled and it literally took the entire dry box with the spool. I couldn’t even be mad.

Not sure how 600 bucks is inexpensive, i mean i can get rolls for 12 quid now, that would take 50 rolls just to break even, plus you got the problem of quality, keep checking its 1.75 seems alot of effort, Id rather use scraps to fill molds and sell them

What if you changed up the path of the nozzle every layer? Like one layer could zig-zag while the next is linear. Going back and forth would change where the stress points are. Maybe you could also purposefully cross the paths to offset the heights as well. Like if you made an X, the intersections would be higher than the rest. First layer like normal, top-down view: ======= ======= Second and third layers to offset heights: XXXXXXX XXXXXXX Then zig-zag (pretend there’s no space between the paths): _ _ _ | |_| |_| | Then repeat the first layer: ======= ======= Offset the zig-zag from before: _ _ |_| |_| |_| Back to linear: ======= ======= Rinse and repeat the last 4 paths.

I think it would be better to iron them on from the material/textile side, so that the doesn't have to go through the patches, but through the textile.

I work with injection molded plastic and have to make colors daily, I am curious to know how close different batches of filament match each other. especially when things like humidity and temperature can effect the machines making the filament.

@26:50 I have a bunch of hobbies, including the fiber arts, and this happens all the time with yarn, too. You always have to look at the dye lots on the yarn labels, to see which were dyed together, and therefore have the same color. If you get yarn that looks identical, but has different dye lots, and then knit with one for half a sweater, and with another for the other half, you'll most likely see it. It'll look like half the sweater was left out in the sun for years and faded a bit. You can get around it pretty well by alternating skeins every row. That's a bit harder with 3D printers.

I wonder if printing in an enclosure would help layer adhesion and make it more isotropic 🤔 I get the impression that many filaments are advertised as 'can be printed without an enclosure', to increase sales as otherwise people without an enclosure would avoid buying it. But it might (perhaps, I don't know), make a big difference for mechanical properties, and might be needed to get close to the 'advertised' mechanical properties.
