11:21 Title says "no nails". Guy says "Take your nail gun and put some pin nails into the end grains of these boards on the sides here.", so video ends at 10:52.

I built drawers for a while in a cabinet shop...brings back lots of memories. I suggest instead of brad nails use staples. I shot thousands of em. Along with some hot melt glue on the bottom corners really helps hold them for many years. Also for the front and back just cut at the height from dado to top edge. Then assemble square up and staple the bottom to the edge of front and back. One could also setup a line drilling template to line bore ends of front and back, and sides. Then no dado is needed, just some glue, little dowels and assemble. Of course we had line boring, dowel machine and big clamp that squared it all up...made assembly super fast and efficient.

I see you haven't replied to quite a few messages over the past year, but I have a question. I'm curious as to why you didn't use the router instead of the forstner bit. That center divot kinda bugs me...... Thanks for the idea.....I'm going to make a few of these......have to see if I can make a template for the locaters.

why don't you just make dove tails under the table, instead of buy hardware and using off market clamps , when you can use Microjig dove tail clamps to clamp the jig to the drill table in any direction. IT IS A MICRIOJIG IDEA

Nice video. Any tips on filling a 2 1/4 inch deep hole? Should I fill it all at once or do it in 1/4 inch stages? If in stages do I let it dry completely before continuing? Thanks 😄

The jig does make the most sense, I'm currently facing 3ft long 2" thick cherry, snipe is a problem with these boards. I'll have to make myself a nice long jig for my 8ft 4" walnut I need to plane

I've been wrestling with this for awhile. The "hinge" hole placement. Could someone walk me through the measurement technique you are using? The first measurement line is self explanatory but I lose you on the 2nd measurement.

You need some room for the glue, and for squaring up properly without stressing the workpiece with a fraction of a millimeter spacer. ( Got to use imperial and metric with that one :-)

10:35 I am wondering why on earth you would not want to glue the bottom?!! If it was a board, you have to be mindful of shrink and swell but with plywood? Just. Glue. It.

Suggested improvement on entire design: recessed insert bolts on the underside with short bolts that can poke up a few mil or so to replace shimming. Put as many holes as you need in whatever location you need. Add a couple t-track to clamp it to the butt rail - no hot glue necessary after that.
