Nice job ! The diagonal plank must be install from the bottom hinge side to upper opposite side, so put the right door at left and the left door to the ridht
@PenaltyBoxWoodshop5 жыл бұрын
Thanks you! These are for barn doors and will be hung by each top corner on a rail system. These planks are purely decretive. However, if they were being hung as a gate from hinges on one side, you would be exactly right.

Enjoyed the video! I need to find somewhere close to me to buy some rough cut lumber because locally the lumber is expensive! Great job on the doors! They turned out great!

Thank you! Yea, it took me a while to find a place near me as well but I’m so glad I did. I love being able to mill my own wood down to my specific needs.

Nice job. How do you like the DeWalt planer? I'm thinking the Makita. BTW Where do I send my shirt?
@PenaltyBoxWoodshop5 жыл бұрын
I really like the Dewalt, it’s been worth every penny. I haven’t ever used the Makita so I can’t speak to those. Shoot me an email and I’ll gladly rep it!

Love your video - I'm going to give it a try. Question: I am building a style with the "X" on the bottom half. Do you recommend full height boards for T&G top to bottom, with the middle rail just surface ... or do you recommend making the middle rail full thickness with dados and the vertical T&G cut in half for each separate top and bottom. Hope I explained this right. Thanks!
@PenaltyBoxWoodshop3 жыл бұрын
I would make the middle rail full thickness I think.

What kind of tongue and groove wood is that? I know they sell some pine at the big box stores. Awesome looking doors!

That’s exactly what it is. Grabbed off the end cap at the blue store! Hahah. Thanks friend!
