Beautiful way to "save" furniture. I love it. Have some outdoor pieces that need help. Do you think that would work if I put a tough sealer on it? Thanks for sharing.
@linaawad4 ай бұрын
Thank you ❤️ Yes for sure. Just make sure you use several Layers of outdoor sealer on top. Sky is the limit …..enjoy! 😊

Hi! Your table is beautiful! It was my inspiration for the drawer fronts of a smaller dresser I’m working on. I used 5 colours of chalk paint thinned with water. At first it seemed to work well. But sadly, by the time it was fully dry, it had severely cracked all over the place. I’ve had to remove the whole ugly mess. Any ideas what I did wrong and how I can avoid this when I re-do them? Could it be that the paint wasn’t thinned enough or that I used too many colours? Thank you for any suggestions you may have!
@linaawad Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your compliment ❤️ Very happy you liked the table. I am sorry to hear what happened on your drawers. I am not sure what went wrong but the suggestion I can give is I think 5 colors may be too much for a drawer front. I would probably go with 3 colors. Also for the paint to crack, my assumption would be that the paint was too thick and perhaps needed a little more water. You want the paint to flow. Not too liquidy like water, and not too thick that it doesnt flow. An inbetween woild be just right. And when you pour the paint make sure you leave it untouched for at least 48-72 hours for it to dry completely. Make sure the temperature of the room is not too hot and humid and not too cold. Do not leave it to dry outdoors. I hope your second time round works out well. I would love to see the results when you are done. Good luck!

I like how the top came out but not the bottom. I would have painted in the Aubusson Blue and that’s it.

Looks beautiful! How did you get the distressed look for the legs?
@linaawad2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much. For the base, I painted it with a solid coat of Aubusson blue and when that dried I applied a white wash on top of it and then patted a rag on top of the wash to get this textured look. It's quite simple and gives a beautiful texture.
