Revamping an Antique Lamp and giving it a new life!

This antique floor lamp was in bad shape so was given a brand new life.
The stand was painted in black and given a distressed look at the edges. I sealed it using Dixie Belle’s Top coat.
The shade was in bad shape so I decided to cover the fabric using natural rustic jute and twisted brown cord. I used hot glue to stick all around.
For the Inside of the shade I used burlap ribbon and stuck it all around the inside using hot glue.
I painted some of the jute in black and added a stencil design to give the shade some design.
It turned out just as I had planned and is very sturdy. It will definitely last many more years!

Dixie Belle paint in Caviar and sand
Dixie Belle Top coat
Hot glue
Brown twisted cord
Natural rustic jute twine
Burlap ribbon

a stencil
