I’ve seen other reviewers compare these to Wilson speakers (Jay from Jay’s Iyagi, for example. Do you have any thoughts about how these compare to the Wilson Tune Tots, which you’ve previously reviewed?

Wilson’s tune tots better with tone and timing and naturalness though I think something more the Ilk of Kef ref ones would prob take the Wilson’s on for qualitative sq maybe in a different way. Merry Xmas

Great conversation! Love your opinion. I have a soft spot for the Hegel. You would need to spend some serious money to get an amplifier better than the Naim or the Hegel. Great review.

Maybe a tremendous all in one but for me I just don't like the looks of the component. I like vintage hifi but this Ruark R410 looks so cheap...?

I am using a Rel T7x with Dynaudio Heritage Special speakers. It definitely makes an improvement creating a fuller sound that reaches deeper.

I see this is a couple of years old, but I also have the KEF LS50 meta and I'm going to get this same subwoofer. so I'd be interested in the exact settings you arrived at, like how many clicks on the crossover and level dials.

I’ve just got a Mojo 2 and agree with your review. One thing, mine gets warm and on a very hot day I’d worry about heat with the unit in a leather case.

One tweak I recommend with bi-wire binding posts is to use bare wire speaker cable and let the bare wire be the jumper cable as well. Sonic improvememt guaranteed.

Having acquired a pair of ProAc Response One SC’s, I am on the hunt for my end game amp and I wanted (if possible) a “simple” rank of the following regardless of price difference: Exposure 5010 Pre & Mono Blocks 200w@8Ω Moor Angel Pre & 6 Amp 150w@8Ω Chord Ultima Pre 3 & 6 Amp 180w@8Ω Naim NAC 332 Pre & NAP 250 Amp 100w@8Ω Chord Ultima Integrated Amp 125w@8Ω Hegel H590 Integrated Amp 300w@8Ω I appreciate you might nave not personally listened to some of these systems, but as someone that has been in this industry for a long time means you would have a good grasp of their respective quality. Thank you in advance and have a great Christmas with your family!

If I was buying another amp I’d look at a terrific Chinese amplifier. The economies of scale of Chinese production where they often (not always) can do more for the money is terrific as the companies involved can have fingers in lots of pies, not just hifi. You really need to put kinki studio gear I tried in that list!

this is just 28 min. talk, and no demo of the sound quality by playing some music with TuneTot speakers. it is like a car commentator explaining how great the porsche engine sounds, and its handling without video showing its engine/exhaust sound while driving or some views of its cornering on the roads.

Yeah that's me typing on my laptop as you were saying it LoL, I couldn't see how a 1 box system is going to sound as good/close to a conventional system, It's probably not aimed at me anyway but I could see my dad/brother liking something like this.

I'd be cautious of that type of thinking which was one of my take homes from the video. It goes to show we always need to form opinions off of trying not what we think should happen based on beliefs of technology or audio science. It's easily aimed at me. Sure my 2ch set up sounds better but it costs many multiple times more...and I'm very much... use the hifi to listen to music, not use the music to listen to the hifi - so when I get something that does so much at the price I'm very pleasantly surprised! Plus the gorgeous Conran style.

If you’ve already got much pricier or higher end systems in a lounge, I’d say it’s easily good enough for a bedroom or office etc, or somewhere else where you can enjoy it fully with no background noise. That’s my take home from this video - I think my Dad is going to love it and it does sound way better than his obsolete (non streaming) Bose, in my opinion.

That sounds more like a fault or component issue. My one was I think dead quiet from what I can remember unless I said something different in the video based on my experience at the time to contradict that.

This video is fantastic! I really appreciate your insights and would love your thoughts on the ideal toe-in angle for the Monitor Audio Gold 100 5G speakers. Directing them more towards the main listening position (MLP) might significantly enhance the clarity of the central image and enrich the depth of the soundstage. What specific toe-in testing methods do you recommend? Thank you!

Thanks Alex, yeah like st Germain - I think I put a clip of some of their albums in one of my vids. Trying to remember which one. I’ve got a Laurent garnier mixmag album where he starts mixing st germain. Deep in it is one of the tracks I’ve always liked I think.

I very much like your reviews even though there seem to be fewer and fewer. Nice little speakers from a company that still values craftsmanship though clearly some cost savings were made with the terminals and probably Xover. Not sure anyone would use these with a Hegel H390 though. Thank you.
