The Cirrus jet isn’t meant to fly at or near Mach 1. It wasn’t built to go in a race. What are you doing here? It goes “half” the speed of a T38 because it has a power plant of single engine 1800lb thrust as opposed to two 2600lb thrust. And it’s designed for 300kt speed. Wtf are you talking about? Are you trying to be legit here?

Well, there’s a difference between how fast we can go and producing the most successful marketing of a private jet in the air. This guy may have all the technology and understanding of flight characteristics, but if he ran Cirrus Aircraft, it would be in the pile of forgotten failed companies.

Does XP 12 have multiple windowed views of outside, instument panels and maps, etc. like FS? I have XP 11 and that feature is lacking.

Yeah the cirrus jet is a stupid plane. Cool idea, didn’t work in practice.

My guess is because they know their inexperienced private pilot group can’t handle the speed of real jets and they want to keep them safe and avoid them breaking the 250 knot below 10,000 rule. It seems like almost all if not all planes that could be reasonably purchased by wealthy private pilots are incapable of exceeding this speed. The exception of course being mega wealthy people who can afford a real serious jet. But these people would probably hire professional pilots anyway or at least fly with one as a copilot since 2 pilots are required.

got this game in 2024, Still my favorite flight sim over msfs (half over my pc cant run xplane 12 nor msfs)

I've been wanting to buy a sim for a while. I was torn between X-Plane 12 and MSFS 2024. I decided to wait and see how MSFS looked at launch. Given the disaster the launch was, it was a fairly easy decision. I bought X-Plane and haven't looked back. I'm loving it so far. I was leaning towards this anyway because physics is more important than eye candy to me.

for some reason my engine 2 is not going 25% how can i fix this? I have been doing this all by the book.

Just bought XP12 in the Black Friday sale. I already know Portland better than my hometown. Loving the Laminar Research vibe. This is the first game I have bought outside of Steam in like 10 years so you can get the full price.

I used to enjoy soaring in both an old version of X-Plane as well as Condor. Never really had a suitable gaming machine, though, and still don't. I have to say, compared to what I'm used to, this looks fantastic and fun. You are tempting me to upgrade my computer and buy this. ;)

What I find amazing is how can 1 guy create a program that took MSFS a whole team and 3rd party companies to make.
