Would this procedure work also with my DELL XPS13 using USB-C bootable disc and using USB-C UGREEN NVMe (T500 2TB inside)? To simplify... Would this option using USB-C UGREEN Nvme work or the syszme will be unable to recognize it if not used original PCIe M2 slot ? Any help or suggestion is more than appreciated...

What does it mean when I run the BIOS*.exe file and it presents the first question of "Do you wish to continue (y/n)?" I type "y". Collecting Information progress bar animates left to right with green bars. Then it just goes back to a the DOS prompt C:\> The computer will sit there for eternity at the DOS prompt C:\> What is going on?

Great video, man! Thanks a lot! I did everything according to the instructions but after the step with selecting test fedora on the flash drive, the fedora ui started and it is terribly laggy, even the cursor is difficult to move. Maybe you know what the problem is? Dell latitude 9430. Linux Mint works well!

Not sure, the Latitude 9430 should be slightly more powerful than the Latitude 9420 and so should perform well. The Live USB uses the USB flash drive essentially as Boot Drive and accesses the OS files from the USB. It might be significantly slower if USB 2.0 or if the USB flash drive is about to fail. I would try with another USB flash drive and also see if the performance differs with a mouse. The driver set on the Live USB is probably more basic and the touchpad may respond better with the more specialised driver that is installed along Fedora.

I don't have the dell command files as I have a consumer model Inspiron 5505, Are there any alternative tools I can use?

Generally this method is used when installing Windows from the same image on multiple systems. The driver packs are therefore unavailable for Inspiron models i.e. Home sector model. The best you can do is slipstream a driver pack from a Latitude or XPS that has the same generation of processor. You will need to use Dell Update post-installation to install missing drivers.

Hi, I have Inspiron 15 300 I7 11gen, BIOS v. 1.26.0,I can't boot from LInux mint UEFI USB. I don't want to install, just like LIVE CD to run sam apps like GParted etc... please help! My BIOS is little different than yours. Thanks!

Markdown is a basic language using a simple syntax for most common tasks and as far as I know, natively doesn't have automatically numbered headings. It can however be complemented with HTML and CSS to change the default style of a HTML element (which apply to markdown headings) but this is more advanced.

Unfortunately the underlying issue with Chromium and the OSK has not been addressed yet. The workaround, the Improved OSK extension supports GNOME shell version 40-44. It does not (yet) support GNOME shell version 46 which is used by 24.04 LTS. It is a third-party extension made by a single developer and may or may not be updated for the new GNOME shell.

I'll never use UEFI secure boot mode enabled with any version of Linux. Uefi if mobo has without secure boot is fine. Other wise legacy mode it is. I do plan on doing something like this but just there was better documentation on truly how cause yea I only for now have an 21.1 LM live USB boot drive. Does have have both legacy and uefi ability. I don't dislike uefi, but secure boot just complicates matters. And stick to AHCI.

Doesn't work. You cannot install from usb with secure boot on. I assume you skipped over a step.

I've got a 7050 and TPM isn't listed anywhere in the BIOS. I get an alert on every boot and have to hit F1 to retry. Can't find a solution. I'm on the latest BIOS (1.27)
