You need to add a some context as to how to tighten the hub retaining nut properly.

The fuse installation, are there any special requirements? Can it be within a battery box mounted under the vehicle? Can it be in the same area as the charge controller?

God Morning. I have a question on hocking up the panels. I have 2 200 watt panels and I have a AC unit shading one of the panels. what would be the overall best way to wire the panels in series or parallel? Jack

Great video. I definitely give this a try next time my travel trailer needs a brake job. Since you used shrink wrap when rewiring the brakes, why didn't you also solder the wires?

I was standing in the store today about to buy this generator when I realized it was the only model without GFCI outlets for outlet covers. I will mainly be using it for off-grid camping and it definitely rains on us quite often. Have you had any problems regarding this?

I would have put a layer of 3/4" butyl tape underneath the flange then dropped the fan in the hole. If ever your self leveling sealant cracks, the butyl will be your backup protection.

Great video! Need your suggestion and opinion. I have a set of 4 new manually adjusting brakes and 4 new drums on my trailer. When I installed them I realized that both of my axels are covering brakes adjusting wholes.. There is no way to reach it with adjusting tool.. Any suggestions on how to work around it? Would I need to take off the wheels, adjust and put them back to try again?
@BBCoachBob3 ай бұрын
Good video, but one thing I would add is the scoring on the inside of the drum is not from worn bearings, it is a normal thing as the magnet is energized it rides on the inside armature of the drum and applies pressure of the brake shoe assembly towards the outside of the drum to apply brakes

Great instructional and confidence building video. You even remind me to change my clothes. On a scale of 1- 10, if you're well prepared with paper towels, have a whole box of your 6 mil gloves on hand, Happy to know the names of all the parts. I want to video your video and watch the video while I replace my brakes. :) Thank you, it was clear and well done. Thanks for all the links below, you've done all the research, lowest prices, where you got great customer service, bonus.

You've got 400w in series with a 10amp fuse. The wire you used was 8 gauge then?

I really lucked out on my camper, as far as cutting holes in the roof goes. I had a tv dish on my camper. I don't watch TV so I pulled the dish off and sold it and used the hole for running the new wires into the camper. But yeah, I got a scope for my phone long before I ever needed it.
@Maxid13 ай бұрын
Did you use 6 gauge wire for this? (No, you didn't).
@jamesm89652 ай бұрын
As an electrician, why does he need #6? He is not pulling more than 20 amps here and the distance is minimal even for DC.

Can you drill mounts anywhere on a rv roof or is there studs to lool for? All videos i have watched seems nobody shows them looking for studs for a solid mount.
@InterstateAdventures4 ай бұрын
I tried lining up with studs, and honestly would have felt better if i found them. However i just screwed down into the plywood roof and havent had a single issue

Great video! The bottom of your slide appears to have a sheet of black plastic on it. Mine is just a cheap, garbage, veneer over OSB. What kind of plastic sheeting would you recommend? Type, Mill thickness, etc. I am going to have to pull my slide and rebuild the floor. It's getting bad.

We used the plastic shower panels from hone depot fornthe slides. If i wasnt able to reuse our bottom thats what ibwas going to use for the under side as well

So. Maybe this is a dumb question. If you bought the drums/hubs pre-greased then why did they take so much grease?
@InterstateAdventures4 ай бұрын
There is still air pockets after assembly. But it takes a lot less once assembled. I would say maybe a half tube per hub, if that
