An old friend told me stories and said he had signed papers that he could not divulge the secrets he knew. He laughed and said you could find them on the internet. He made the statement that they could take him out and shoot him if they wanted. He was dying of cancer anyway and did. Happy Thanksgiving to all. Turkey sandwiches on Friday.

Hope you're monitoring your site. Very helpful overview of Sarrett 196. Do you happen to have a video checking runout of a drill press using the 196? If not, are you aware of one? Thanks for the tips.

@ShadonHKW Ай бұрын
I dont have a video of that specific task, but this is a very versatile kit, it shouldn't be too hard to do a runout check on your drill press.

Just a hobbyist here, no formal training. I have an 8" Vertex HV rotary table, the indexing plates, tailstock and a face mount chuck. It seems the RT can do most of the things the super spacer can do. The super spacer would be more ridged. A semi-universal indexing head will do many of the same things. Very similar system. Can anyone tell me where to find explanations of the advantages and disadvantages of each (Super Spacer, HV Rotary Table and BS-1 indexing head.) Thank you in advance.

My 2012 Mega Cab 2500 is hungry for ball joints. Death wobble 7times over the last 8 years. Used the cheap eBay’s, Moog (2 times), AAM, and they all sucked! 270k miles, didn’t want to spend the $ on the big boys, so I went with Synergy rebuildable ball joints kit. These things are beefy and helped so much! Tech support guys are top notch too! The Energy Suspension track bar has been solid for the last 2 years. Put in a Carli sway bar kit and what a difference. Level coils (2”) from Rough Country are way less stiff than the stocks, but will end up going with Carli coils next and stay with the Fox shocks. With family in the truck during the last death wobble, it is either sell my beloved truck or fix the issue. May try out this kit, although Moog QC has really suffered the last few years, I do like the box bracing and the new pivot design. What’s sad, is my brothers 2000 Ford F250 with the old leaf spring front suspension rides so much better than my truck, even traveling at a brisk 80 mph. Even using Carli’s 2” suspension calc at the alignment shop, I’ve still got death wobble over the years, Ram and Ford need a class action over the issue that’s been common for the last 20 years!

Great review!! Thank you.. I did see another Vevor punch review that did put an oval p&d in, and it worked well. They simply clocked it while setting up and before locking the die in place. I kind of like the idea of that as you can set the slot in any direction. Thanks again!!

Nice video I am looking for one to use as a Z height check on the cnc mill. You may ask why,, well 3 people in my shop use the mill. So I have in my cam post a cycle to check all the tools in a program +20mm Z height. Obvious screw ups are easy to catch and at 25% of rapid I can catch befor a crash as well as some of our tools are long and jods are usually 200mm above the table. I have even thought of putting a magnified vernier scale on the side.the issue with my gauge block is more of a go no go gauge. I could use a tool setter but there usally no lower than 50mm high and most are a little kinda clumsy.
