It's funny that Rolling Rock isn't even officially a light beer but it still tasted weak next to the others here. 😄 I remember it as a beer I tried a few times when I started drinking because the bottle looked cool, but even then it tasted bland to me. I don't think I've ever actually tried Coors Light. I might have to give it a try now.

Soft is never good for your feet , ankle will roll inward
@iRunOnBeer3 ай бұрын
I feel like this is ignoring a lot of factors. While I imagine walking around in soft shoes all day everyday would likely yield negative results. The pros of occasional usage greatly outweigh the cons with me. Especially when it's relatively easy to compensate for any "ankle instability" with light strength and balance work.

Aiming for a 3:45 Berlin marathon this autumn on a the 2Q plan as well. Hopefully 4th time lucky trying to run sub 4! 4:02:08, 4:00:44 and 4:09:43 in the past. All poorly finished with terrible calf cramps (despite working on hydration and electrolytes). As a relatively new runner, I think over the marathon distance, I just didnt have enough endurance in the legs. Hoping the Q workouts will prepare me more. Did 8 weeks of 4 week plan from the book to get used to running about 35 miles per week. Excited to see if the Q runs pay off.
@iRunOnBeer4 ай бұрын
I really liked the structure of the workout but that weekly mileage is no joke! I've also found increased focus on strength training has helped me avoid cramping later in races. Berlin is the perfect course for a PR attempt though! Good luck!

@@iRunOnBeer Thanks. Out of interest, what max weekly mileage did you choose with a 3:30 goal in mind initially?

I love LSD. Long slow distance, that is. But yeah, coming back from an injury, I spent that time going down the rabbit hole of MAF training. That's resulted in 10 min-milers at average 130 bpm heart rate. Ego in check and no complaints. 😁

I had a lot of success with HR restricted training a few years back. It was excellent for base building and helped power me through several PRs. I think I may need to revisit it as I look to rebuild some more substantial weekly mileage.
