Renault also had some reservations, the engine need slow times to last the entire grand prix.

I feel bad for the steel aluminum that makes up the engine for how much abuse it takes. That is some absolutely insane engineering, and my eyes only got wider during the video!

Now, if in my dream world they could go back to 1/4 mile racing, I've always wondered if Goodyear can make a tire good to 360+ MPH??? P.S. you have an excellent way of explaining drag racing as opposed to some channels who have no idea what they are talking about.

That was a really good explanation. Back in the 80’s I read an explanation that included what is happening in a run that explained the clutch slippage and engagement at different stages and how many times the engine had turned over at different intervals, really interesting stuff.

They only last three seconds because they are out of tune. If top fuelers were allowed full electronic control of the ignition and injection the price of top fuel would tumble.

It's not that they "only last 3 seconds" - that is a flat out LIE. They are only pushed to FULL OUTPUT for commonly 3-4 seconds, and run at idle or lower output most of the rest of the time between rebuilds. Clickbait title, though not as bad as SOME I've seen.

See that the V6, due to the reduction in the diffuser (one of the things I like most), the TV broadcast simply muffles the sound of cars even more, which today isn't like that.

They are fast. However, in Thailand they are putting insane engines in tiny cars. Those cars are so squirrelly, they can only run one car at a time on a dragstrip or they would hit each other. They fight the horsepower all the way down the strip.

Umm, 14 tesla electric engines, dual common driveshaft (7 engines per common shaft), big capacitor batteries, some upward fuel jets to create downforce by upward jet instead of drag, basically batteries last like 30 seconds, max speed 500+ mph, acceleration 10+ G's. variation for anti-G suit, acceleration 14+ G's. I wonder when I'll see that.... If that's not enough power, triple or quad common drive shafts (still 7 engines each.) (The batteries will be on fire !) (However, you can use cooling system using 1 liter of liquid nitrogen each race.) (the batteries I have in mind are not off the shelf neither.) (Batteries need to store roughly 30 kWhr, and discharge at rate of 16MW.) (Also, anti-G uses fluid content, not standard anti-G suit) (or, anti-G chair, equally with fluid)
