Maybe you did this without saying it, but it helps to look over the model and think: where would the crew physically interact with this? Where would the maintenence crew work on it? Where might unit regularly climb on or off ot it? Then that will help you show where wear and tear might be. Where might a blind spot be for the driver/nagivator? Maybe a turn or movement would cause a section to rub a wall or rock face, or climbing over things.

Great video Matthew. Lets see, models I don't play with. All my first born Space Marines including the Darkn Angels and Blood Angels from 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th edition. I bought the Blood Angels starter army with bonus Captain Tycho years ago. I have the original metal Death Company models with Chaplain, Metal Blood Angels Dreadnaught and Captain and a Devastator sqaud. Got duded on the Terminators as the dude gave me those horible plastic ones from the end of 2nd ed. I don't use my collection of plague marines since 8th ed. changed the models and rules😢. My old collection of Chaos Space Marines get used for training purposes but my Chaos Dreadnught and Doomrider just sit in a box until I want to see them. I could go on but I think you get the picture. I have many models from different versions of 40K, Epic and Fantasy that I do not play games with or paint. Poor models. Liked the Thomas story 😅.

Chaos space marines are peak models. Retro, modern. Doesn't matter, they never disappoint. Wish GW would release old hammer kits in plastic, even for only limited runs.
@xenocyde8498Күн бұрын
i dont get GW's reasoning because they used to be all 100% about it even featuring scratch builds in their magazines and even giving rules to making your own custom units and vehicles.... gw used to be a hell of allot cooler back then

Just stumbled upon your channel, amazing to see all the older minis getting a showcase, I started around 2nd edition of 40k and never really played the game properly, I just loved the models but couldn't afford many, Jump forward 30? years... christ... im surrounded by plastic men and monsters, still barely a game played but love it all the same. Enjoying the videos!

I'm no Warhammer Player, i started collecting and painting those Minis for my son. I paint them together with him, makes him forget about his Electronic Devices. Your videos are, without a doubt, the most relaxed ones. I would prefer those old-school Minis, but I'm not in charge😂. The modern WH40k Creators seem way more rushed and uneasy compared to your "Jazz-Bar-Narrator" voice style. Both thumbs 👍👍 Have a nice day!

That sounds great. I still like the new minis, but the old ones are special. Thanks for the kind comment. I just make content I would like to watch. Have a great day.

I'm happy if you're happy with "Uncle Ian," but I think the ram skull pommel on his sword could use a little more shading. Compared to the rest of him, it looks rather flat.

Dark Angels used to be Native American themed before they became a generic Knightly one. So the feathers are a hold over from that era of Dangles.
@pixelfille31303 күн бұрын
That was only the deathwing, the first dark angel mini was the company master that was released a few years before space hulk. That company master had a winged mk7 helmet that was more inspired by the helmets of the teutonic knights

So if Berserkers had Kharn to lead/slaughter them, Rubric Marines had Ahriman, and noise Marines had Fabius Bile, who led Plague Marines in Second Edition? Were there no special characters with the mark of Nurgle back then?
