This was very insightful Jess! I think it’s unfortunate that now that people are more on board with “traditional” living it’s also a time where it’s much harder to raise a family/support yourselves on 1 income. However, I’m thankful to live in a time where being a stay at home wife/mom or being a working woman are both seen as valid options, since this has not been the case through most of history and women in the past couldn’t even make that decision for themselves.

I know this is an old video, but I am definitely going to try that trick for the bottom trays because mine have been horrible (day 3) to the point it feels like I am about to crack my own teeth in half. I have a total of 48 trays for THE FIRST ROUND, with an oral surgery next month, and possible jaw surgery after through all 48 trays if that seems needed at that point... I also have attachment buttons on every single tooth in my mouth except my two directly middle lower teeth. If tomorrow I can take that bottom tray out without being in absolute pain, I will sing your praises lol

Hi Jess, I am not a traditional housewife myself. I am married and we both work. We both take care of the children and do the housework together. I think it is important to be independent as a woman. As women, we have also fought to be equal with men. That doesn't mean I look like a man or think like a man. I still enjoy dressing and behaving like a woman. This works well for us. We must not forget that women have fought for this for a long time. We are happy this way. And everyone has to do what feels right. Thank you for this interesting video.

I think the trad wives should be allowed to do whatever they want to do. That is feminism. However when you start assigning moral value to it is when it gets murky. On the left side of the aisle most of us just want everyone to be able to live the life they want to live. Most of the trad wife’s I’ve watched are actively encouraging you to live like them and if you don’t want to, you’re somehow failed morally.

It's helpful to remember that for the vast majority of human history, women of status and wealth had the privilege of not having to work. Having to work was seen as a lower-class necessity, as domestic servants did most of the housework for the upper classes. For a brief period of time (circa mid-twentieth century), Western society became wealthy and productive enough to allow a socioeconomic family model resembling what had traditionally been possible only for the aristocracy. It's not all so cut and dried, but the "traditional" family model was better suited for preventing burnout for both mother and fathers. The mothers could focus on the children and the home (enormous tasks) without having to worry about the income. The father could toil away for endless hours and the only thing preventing burnout was knowing he had a loving family to support and come home to after a long day at work.
@sumairshirazi21 күн бұрын
And now that has changed due to feminism and equality

I found most tradwifes have an inheritance, or own the house, or getting help from parents that enable them to stay home. Most are not fully relying on husbands for their support, but they'll go online and lie telling everyone that their husband is supporting them . Forgetting some of us know them in real life outside facebook, and know they're full of bs. Most tradwives are smug and seem to think they're superior to women who have to work for a living, and sometimes take sadistic joy in rubbing it in that they don't have to work, and have a "good" man to support them, when you KNOW dam well they have an inheritance that's allowing them their trad life.

Mine are best inserted, if I seat the front [incisors, upper and lower] first, and then snap down the back [molars]. And, of course, "chew" them into place, either with the "chewies" [which wear out quickly], or, my favorite, a teether. And, for those of you considering Invisalign, but are reluctant, because of perceived discomfort and hassles of insertion, removal, and cleaning --- it all becomes easier and smoother, very quickly, and the results are worth it.
@Dekaide44Ай бұрын
Ive seen some of your videos and it looks like you had aligners for a while. Was there a point when you felt like you were able to bite food normally? I've had them for about a week and it almost seems like chewing is worse than before :(

I grew out my natural colour over the three years of lockdown and then I dyed it blonde and have serious regrets doing it. The same happened to me, the bleached destroyed my hair and it ended up looking like trash. Now I’m growing out my natural colour and it’s taking another three years. If there is one piece of advice I would give anyone. Do not bleach your hair! It destroys it and looks like trash.

I’m in my fourth tray of Invisalign right now. The first tray is BY FAR the worst. It’s new, uncomfortable, I had a lisp the first week, they were soooo tight, and it was even hard to sleep the first 2 days because my teeth were aching so badly. My 2nd, 3rd, and 4th trays have been so much easier. The lisp went away and the trays don’t feel as tight anymore (maybe I’m more used to the feeling?). First 1-2 days of a tray change feel a bit tight again but by the end of the week they’re loose enough to pop off easily in a second. Just stick with it, power through that first week and everything gets much better!
