INVISALIGN UPDATE | Refinements, Teeth NOT Moving, and MORE!

Hi, Jess! I am about a month and a half into my Invisalign Journey and I just happened across your upload tonight. I was supposed to start my 6th tray tonight, but the orthodontist decided that I need to stay 3 more days in Tray 5 and then get another review. Other than that, so far so good. I am becoming accustomed to taking them in and out. I do my best to adhere to the 22 hours. Eating is a whole new situation since you must keep an after eating care bag with you every where you will be eating.😖 It truly makes me think before indulging in any extra eating! 😂😂😂 Please keep on posting! I love knowing about how others are experiencing their Invisalign treatment.

Hi, Camita! Thanks for watching and taking time to share your experience. I totally understand. I STRUGGLED to get my trays out those first few days and eating definitely became more of a chore. I was very discouraged when I started in August. Thankfully it’s gotten better! It’s honestly going to feel weird to be finished and not have trays in my mouth all the time. How long is your treatment expected to last?

I just got my tooth pulled today for Invisalign. I’m only on tray 2 out of 32 . I hope my space closes pretty quick

Even I am getting aligners,I got one of my lower incisor tooth pulled out and tensed about when the gap will disappear . Can you please share your experience

@@kirtichaudhary498 I can’t remember when it closed . Maybe it took 3-4 months . I have each tray in for 2 weeks . Put wax in the missing part on the liner . Mine wasn’t to noticeable when I did that

Congratulations on the upcoming wedding ! How has the Cordless Sonic Cleaner been working for you ? I researched them at the very beginning and the ones that I found (other brands) didn't have great reviews.

Thank you, Donna! We are excited. To be totally honest with you, I STILL have not tried it out. It is still sitting in my bathroom cabinet. I think I am just so set in my ways and I don't want to switch up my tray cleaning routine at this point. But based on the reviews you saw of similar ones, maybe I'm not missing out on much! If I do try it out, I'll make a video review though :)

You had the same trays for a month ?! I change mine every 2 weeks Edit: also I’m on tray 3 out of 21 . With attachments all on my top row & 8 on the bottom. I only have pain the first day after changing trays.

Haha, YES. It took forever for my refinements to come in so I had to stay in those trays for wayyyy longer than usual. I usually switch them every 10 days! Glad the pain has been minimal for you! I definitely think it gets better and better with time. 💕

I just got my refinements. They do not seem as strong and my other trays. Idk what that is about. At least they are free. Just wish they were more clear on the time. They promise you a year or less then its almost two years. The IPR hurt. I like my ortho but mine never tells me what I need until they are about to do it. Is yours like that? I have 21 more trays. I had 18 in total. So this is more than what they told me. I was tracking 100% every tray. So idk why my teeth will not move. :( I rather have invisalign than regular braces just dang. Taking a longer time.

I could not agree more on the timeline. It seems like more often than not there are twists and turns in the process. They projected my treatment would last 9 months and I'm going on 11 months now. Hoping the extra time will be worth it though! So grateful refinements are free. I am getting my Invisalign through a dentist rather than an ortho, but I do feel like they could be better about communication. I had no idea what IPR was until they were in my mouth doing it already! Very jarring. I hate IPR more than almost anything.

For your revisions, do you pay more, or is that included in the initial cost

It was included in the initial cost! If you get “Invisalign Go” I believe that’s a max of 20 trays and then you have to pay more. But if you go with just regular Invisalign, you get unlimited trays for no extra cost.

Denture cleaner is a big NO for cleaning retainers!! That's why yours were degrading. Just leaving this comment in case new invisalign users watch ❤

That's a lie. Dentist haven't said anything bad about using denture cleaner for invisalign. My Dentist told me to use them in fact.

How is it to sleep with invisalign ?

It’s tough in the very beginning because it’s painful all hours of the day and night. But after the first week, I got used to it. I don’t even really notice them when I go to sleep/wake up, etc.
