The r.r. man would tell me when another train was coming by going back to peru they always stopped at peru to change engineers and when i got off i only had to walk 6 blocks back to my house

Many years ago back in the 80s i used to ride trains from peru Indiana to logansport to see my girlfriend, back then they still used the caboose's and they would let me ride in it,they are like campers basically bunk beds a table a bench and a wood burning stove the r.r. man and me would sip whiskey and play cards 😂
