Where u get the hood

Shouldn't this be covered by the warranty? It's only 40K miles according tman984. I never heard of any car needing a new thermostat at 40K miles.

I appreciate this very informative video. I replaced the whole assembly as you indicated. The only issue I have is that I can't seem to program the key. I have a 2005 GMC Yukon. The ignition key does illuminate my cluster but I don't have a flashing car lock light . I done this 4 times but no luck. Do you think I need the ignition switch straight from the dealer or a locksmith that can program my key?

I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado 4×4 do these trucks have a key fob? I saw a video where the guy bought a key fob online and programmed it to the truck? When I got the truck it didn't have a key fob.

Attention: For those that replace the battery and the error code doesn’t go away follow these steps. 1. Open hood 2. Disconnect negative terminal on the primary battery using a 10mm socket. 3. Disconnect the two other wires that are a part of the neutral cluster using a 10mm and 13mm socket .One of the other thick wires runs to the aux battery. If you do not do this step it won’t reset the ECU. 4. Wait ten minutes 5. Repeat steps in reverse 6. Your ECU is now wiped. 7. Start car 8. Drive around the block. It will take a few minutes for the start/stop to be reconfigured and it will then say start/stop ready.

Is there a tsb for this? Is there a redesign of the thermostat? Does the new thermostat still have the filtering screen? My car is at dealership getting exact same thing replaced due to overheating. I’m concerned if they just put same replacement park back in that this will just happen again. I’m at 40k miles.

There's an easier way to change the auxiliary battery. Turn the front wheels all the way to the left, then remove the three 10mm bolts and the push pins that are holding the splash guard in place under the right front fender, then remove the splash guard. The box for the auxiliary battery has three 10mm bolts holding it in place that you can remove from underneath. Swap the battery like the video described by removing the 5/32 studs and install them on the new battery, then just reverse the process to put the battery box and splash guard back in place. Note: One of the push pins has a larger head than the others and will break when you remove it, but you can get replacements at Autozone.

I did replace the battery but it still not working do you know if it requires me to drive after I installed the battery or shall I replace the main battery as well?
