Did you use a vinyl that had a back tape or plastic ? If so did you remove it before applying it ? That’s the only question I have because if you did I didn’t see it in the video . Thanks .

Unfortunately, no. Those typically don't get wrapped, in my experience. However, to do so i would just do a bunch of strips to wrap the door frame.

Likely, you'll need to do some photo editing to isolate each sticker before you can cut them out with the Silhouette. I would try using a photo editing program that uses AI to help you isolate the images.

Fantastic comparison. Exactly what I was looking for. Comparing the output tinted vs untinted and the realtime removal was a smart idea. Obviously the camera compensates for brightness change but it’s still a good comparison. I’ve run the premium plus light smoke for like 5 years on the same install and it held up perfect. Now I’m doing a bunch of retrofit work on my 17 sti lights and looking at a tint change. Moving to rural nowheresville from San Diego has made me question its style over functionality as now, streetlights do not exist and deer are like 100lbs+ backroad kamikazes haha. Good vid.

After further consideration, I’m going to remove it in favor of super light smoke ultimate but not until I finish the internal mods. My only concern is that people report it has a purple shade. Any experience with the super light smoke? I may just have to order it. Or just go to clear. Current tint took a bunch of hits but saved the light so something’s gotta go back over them

I've been trying this vinyl wrap and I've found that starting in the middle of the piece and working your way out is best. I did the smaller pieces 1st for practice for the larger parts.
@ColorChangeCustoms22 күн бұрын
Hi, and thanks for watching! Yes, sometimes starting from the center and working outward may be better. vinyl wrapping can be pretty fluid, depending on what the vinyl wants to do. In the end, as long as everything looks good and it’s durable, that’s the way to do it!

if i want to take it off later will it ruin the desk tho?
@ColorChangeCustomsАй бұрын
The book answer is "yes." Architectural vinyl wrap is intended to be permanent. But in my experience, it really depends on a various factors, such as the condition of the desktop when the vinyl is applied, is the surface coated (like does it have a clear coat on it or is it a "raw" finish), how long you leave the vinyl on, the vinyl type/brand used, etc...

The 3M Matt looks the best. The rest look cheap, even the 3M glossy. The vivid is a terrible example to compare them to. In any case, for a wrap that can be changed at any time, it doesn't really matter.
