Yeah she likes it better. It has more wind protection than just the windscreen. And it still has the quick disconnect if she ever wants to take it off.

Memphis shades now has the bracket trigger holder and shields for the rebel 1100 but the dark smoke is only available on the 13” and 15”. I have the 17” in smoke and the 19” in solar. Would the 17” dark smoke you have fit mine ?

I swapped out the exhaust for the Vance & Hines look alike from Amazon and I absolutely love it bro!! Easy to install, great paint job on it and it sounds awesome without being obnoxious!!! Mustang Solo seat, bar end mirrors, pillion seat, sissy bar backrest, tire pressure monitor system (it works flawlessly), a complete QuadLock phone charging system with dampener, grills for the headlight and signal lights and saddlebags. I’m so done with upgrading this bike, I hope! 🤣 👍✌️

When I bought my 2021 Rebel used,from a motorcycle/powersports dealer a couple of months ago, the previous owner had already removed the original muffler and had installed a vance and hines muffler on it. I don't like that vance and hines muffler. I wish I could find another original but used and good rebel muffler to put back upon it. But those that have one, only want new prices for them, I'm on a retired limited monthly income and I'm not about to pay a large new price for a used muffler, and the nearest motorcycle salvage yard is at least a four hour drive from where I live, and too far to drive, and also who knows if they would even have one for a small price of which I could afford anyway. So by the time I made the round trip, the price of the muffler would problably be almost equal to the price of a new mufler anyway. So I guess I'm stuck with that loud vance and hines. I guess a lot of Rebel owners really like those loud vance and hines mufflers, but I don't. [My neighbors don't either]. Two things, [ 1 ] They are louder than the original OEM mufflers. and [ 2 ] They stick upwards at the rear at an ugly angle, and it prevents a side bag, [or even a standard sized side bag], to be installed. Not to mention that because they sit at that 45 degree angle upwards at the rear, if they are sitting in the open during a rain storm, they allow lots of rainwater to enter into the exhaust outlet side. Rainwater [or any water for that matter ], is not very good for the insides of a muffler or an exhaust pipe. I wish I knew somebody in my local area that had an original OEM Rebel muffler of which wanted a vance and hines muffler and that would be willing to just swap one out straight across. We would both be happy. How used is mine? Lets put it this way, when I bought it off the showroom floor (September 4, 2024), it only had 847 original mles upon the rebel, and now it's only got around 1,000 original miles upon it, and I keep it inside a specially built garage out of the weather and I don't ride it very often as of yet. So, that ought to tell you how new and still good that vance and hines muffler still is. Why? Well. - [ 1 ] Winter is almost upon us once again, and it's almost too late to be riding it very much this season. so I'm not going to be riding it much in the next four or five months anyway. - and - [ 2 ] I haven't had a motorcycle endorcement for over 40 years (last time I had one was 1980-1985),, and I am now having to start all over once again with a learners permit to re-learn what I have forgotten over those past 40 years from the lack of use and not having a motorcycle. And Yes it is totaly embarriassing to have to admit that I have forgotten almost everything I once knew and now have to start all over agan lke a new fledgling rider of which has never rode a motorcycle, or even been on one before. So it's going to be a few months before I can again possibly pass the riding skills test. Even the skills test examiner told me to go practice a lot, or go retake a motorcycle safety skills course. as he was honest, and was not going to take my money, and then flunk me anyway. I checked, and right now all the local area skills safety courses have shut down for the winter, and won't reopen again until spring. So I'll just have to sit back, be patient, and wait until next spring to try again. Until then, I'm making good use of my time and installing daytona engine crash guards, and a universal windshield (both of which just arrived in the past week). My next items will probably be handle bar risers or a different set of handle bars, as I don't like having to lean forward and downward in order to reach the handle bars, front brake, and throttle as it is both uncomfortable, and hard upon the back. I'm used to cruising on a motorcycle in an upright positon not leaning over riding a crotch rocket like a teenage youngster. Anyway, thanks to the producer of this video for producing and sharing this video pertaining to the installation of that paticular type of engine crash guards. They look like they wiill do just fine, and possibly even better than the Daytona type ones of which I just bought. And also a big hearty thanks to..... " @RollWithSoul317", for sharing his own input pertaining to the vance and hiines muffler system of which he likes and has installed upon hs own motorcycle.
@RollWithSoul3176 ай бұрын
Awesome installation video! I have a set of the “Amazon Special” crash bars installed on my Rebel CMX1100 as well and I have to say that they worked out well. However, I haven’t experienced any issues with flex or any handling issues due to them being installed. The set I have stick out a little more than the set you’re putting on your Wife’s bike, and mine are uglier but they serve their purpose. I will eventually swap them out for a set that I can mount highway pegs to. I’m waiting for my rear sliders to be delivered and that will complete the crash protection for the Rebel. Also, I really like the Batwing, I have the Memphis Shades Batwing fairing and I couldn’t imagine riding without it to keep the wind at bay! Great job man, thanks for the video! I can’t wait for the next one. 👍

Awesome video man!! I was fortunate enough that the dealership was in the process of installing the Memphis Shades Batwing on my 2022 Honda Rebel CMX1100 DCT at the time of purchase, and they didn’t charge me extra for it. However, I didn’t like the look of it with the stock mirrors, so I installed bar end mirrors and it made the Batwing really look awesome in my opinion! One of the best features of the Batwing for me is the wind protection on my hands in the cold weather!!! Believe me, there’s a noticeable difference between having the Batwing or just having your gloved hands exposed to below 50 degree winds traveling at 65mph!!! Heated grips will be my next investment for sure! I love this awesome machine and please consider swapping out the mirrors.

Hey mate, did you upgrade to bass boost yet? How much did you pay? Does it make a tangible difference?
@motorcyclemishifts46408 ай бұрын
Yes I did. The service to add the bass boost came to about $200 total. It's just a flash to the power band 100w speakers. It is noticeable. Nothing crazy but at lower speeds the bass is amplified. The more speakers you have, the better it'll sound.

Nice review on the CC rider "copycat" of the Harley badlander seat, been looking at this seat since its around half the price of the badlander. The Heritage, Slim, and Street bob all have different fender struts, but all use the same part# for the badlander seat. But i tend to believe the Harley badlander will have a much better fitment.

@motorcyclemishifts464010 ай бұрын
Gen1 and gen 2 are the same except for the glow light. If you're coming from a stock 50w setup, you would still have to purchase the bass boost upgrade for the 100w speakers. They had a sale on the gen 1's so I saved some money. I haven't gotten the bass boost upgrade yet. I will be doing it soon and I'll post a follow up video when I do.
