Hi. About Substance Designer - I have an object and imported it using UDIM. I managed to separate my ids (from the object) in the color node, they appear correctly in 3dview. I need to understand the connection of everything else, with - for example, color - in other words, if I have a certain graphic - texture that I made for a certain object ID, how do I connect it to the output correctly, so that when I'm going to make a second texture, for a second ID (different part of the object) this texture doesn't overlap the first? (you video kzbin.info/www/bejne/oaOxg5-Pgq58f7c )

I think I understand what you are asking, I would use the ID baked part as a mask to ensure that the only thing you want to show in that area shows. Honestly I would now do that entire workflow in Painter now. Not sure if that works for your workflow but may give you the flexibility you are looking for.

you don't actually need to use the booleans like you do in this video, you can just ctrl-J them together in object mode and remesh and it should achieve the same result

@@nickzucc another thing that would probably save you some time is the voxel remesh hotkeys. You can visualize the size of the grid with shift r and then remesh with Ctrl r in sculpt mode. I recommend keeping it above .005 depending on your hardware

@JustJusticeJustin2 жыл бұрын
@@Suppaolo Yep that's it, but my question was poorly directed. How did he get his shadows to come up so clear in viewport? I assumed the black bg was him somehow rendering the light in the viewport, I only ever see shadows and black bg like that in a render. Is this cause of Arnold?
