I gotta say 4 and 6 are the best for a classic Jason film but oh man I had a lot of fun with this one. It felt like a weird Buffy episode but the frozen kill, the sleeping bags, Jason the shooting star and I didn't think watching an Android Matrix up Jason was something I wanted but thoroughly enjoyed. Just stupid, cheesy fun. My only negative was the cockpits of the ships looked weirdly like the Jason mask so I thought that would be some cheesy reference later but, alas, nothing

On the topic of aesthetics going from cheesy to cool and Gav not thinking the Jason X look will ever be appreciated: I was born right in between him and Krupa (temporally, not spatially) and so I grew up with, and have no nostalgia for, the look of the 90s and early 00s. Or rather, I have nostalgia but I still think it looks dorky as hell. But people in their teens and late 20s today have taken to that style and adopted it. I honestly don't think there's anything out of reach of a re-evaluation by younger generations.

I won't hear a single negative thing on this film. I'm commenting before watching but if they didn't like it they don't have taste and that's a fact. This movie is art. My wife and I crack up everytime we hear the line "you think a poke in the ribs is enough to put me down" *gets stabbed a second time* "yup, that'll do it" this film is iconic and better than just about all the other slow repetitive films in this franchise Edit: I'm not mad lads, I'm just disappointed

Jason's been to Manhattan, space, HELL, and he's met Freddy Krueger! How many people can claim that?

The liquid nitrogen-rose thing is a typical demonstration because it shows how something as delicate and flexible as petals can be flash-frozen without visibly damaging the biological material. It freezes so fast, the petals don't wilt, essentially. I'd also note, my favourite liquid nitrogen-adjacent gore in films is the freezing effects outside the train in Snowpiercer. Not liquid nitrogen, but essentially the same, and even though it's not massively gory, it's so grim.

What's the concensus on this one? I've never really liked it myself, but I know a lot of people who do. The frozen head exploding is a great effect, but that's about the only memorable thing about it.

This is the one with the liquid nitrogen finisher! Also has that shot of him swinging 2 sleeping bags at a tree with a girl trapped in each bag. This might be the funniest Jason film, although not always intentionally.

Did gav get clocked in the peeper? If so, I hope he's okay. It was probs related to owners not picking up their dog poo or people buzzing past coco to closely when they're out for a walk. Doing gods work

This was a fantastically banterful episode, and so glad Rory imposed the horn challenge to give us a ton of hilarious runs for one of my favorite bosses. And by the end, Rory was just running his show. Congrats on an excellent Part 2, lads, though the idea that we're either halfway or two-thirds through does feel bittersweet. But not to worry!
